Q:What is the angle of the seat and how does that compare to Duragreen Adirondack?

    Answer This Question

A:  Hello Shelly, Thank you for reaching out about the Grant Park chair. The angle of the seat is 92 degrees. You would need to reach out to Home Depot's customer care to compare it to the Duragreen Adirondack as that is a different brand. Thanks -Jason

Q:Is the Poly painted or is the plastic colored in the manufacturing process?

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Andres, Thanks for reaching out with a question. The POLYWOOD furniture is not painted or stained. The furniture is made with HDPE recycled plastic and includes UV-inhibited pigment systems to help maintain the lumber colors throughout the material, not just on the surface. Painting or staining the furniture is not recommended and can void the warranty. Thank you for asking! -Best, Michelle

Q:Is the hardware suitable for a sundeck in a saltwater pool?

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi Joan, Great question! You can use our furniture on the tanning ledge of your pool, but we suggest taking it out of the saltwater when finished and rinsing the furniture with fresh water. If in a salt air environment, rinsing your furniture with fresh water from time to time will assist in increasing its longevity as well. Thanks for asking, Brooke

        by|Jul 6, 2023

A:  It’s painted black so should be fine. Also, think it has 20yr warranty if it rusts.

Cannot Assemble Due to Poorly Drilled Holes
As you can see from the photos, the holes on the leg brace, which you attach in Step 1, are so poorly drilled that there is no way this chair will go together without a replacement piece. I went on the Polywood website to place a help request, and it takes 5-7 business days to get a response. That is not including how long it will take for PW to send a replacement piece. I ordered a chair cushion for this chair from the PW website well over a week ago and it still has not shipped, for reference.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with the leg brace and the delayed response from our Customer Experience team. We understand how frustrating it can be to face such issues, especially when you're eager to assemble and use your new chair. We hope you enjoy your chairs when you complete the assembly.

              Constantly putting in warranty claims
I don't know what it is about this design or how its being assembled but I am on my fourth warranty claim. Locations where there is structural pressure are constantly cracking. I get maybe a year or two out of these before I have to put in a claim. The material itself seems okay but I think it's not designed right.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We're sorry to hear you've had several issues with your furniture that require you to submit warranty claims. That is not the kind of experience we want for our customers. I encourage you to reach out to POLYWOOD'S Help Center to work with the manufacturer on your warranty issues directly. If there is an issue with the structure or design of your product the Customer Experience Team will be able to resolve the issue for you.

                Discolored Within the First Week
I bought these to match vintage wood chairs that we have in white thinking they would last longer and be easier to wipe down. Unfortunately, they had significant black discoloration in the first week that cannot be removed with soap/water/scrubbing. I have them in different locations, so it's not from a tree or being next to a fire. Polywood recommends using a bleach solution and power washing, which we'd have to do weekly to keep these looking acceptable.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We're sorry to hear that the chairs are not meeting your expectations. In addition to cleaning, POLYWOOD also recommends covering your furniture when not in use. This will provide additional protection from the elements and keep the dirt off.
                Thanks,
                Lana Poly-Wood
We bought 7 of these in black for our firepit area and I was bracing myself for there to be problems or missing pieces with this many chairs. Every single one was perfect. We love them. They are quality and this was the best price around at the time ($179/ea).

Good quality and fit. Being on the shorter side the chair feels right. Sits more upright than others.

The plastic composite materials are incredibly sturdy; zero concerns there and these feel super premium. Unfortunately, our chairs came with missing screws and, worse, with a few screws that had been driven in too far into the plastic, and therefore popped through onto the armrest creating both a safety concern as well as an aesthetic blemish. To be fair, Home Depot would not have been able to tell since these ship in a Polywood box, and Home Depot customer service was helpful when I reached out. But in general, docking several points due to the lack of QA on Polywood's end.

                  Chairs are fine.
I purchased 5 and 1 came missing an arm. Of course it was the 5th chair and all others are already put together.

We have other polywood products that seem heavier/stronger. These chairs are slightly smaller the some of their other Adirondacks. For the money and for what we wanted them for they are perfect. Look amazing. Easy to assemble. Just not the most comfortable design.

We love our pair of Polywood Adirondack chairs we added last month to our patio. Both chairs were simple to assemble 8 minutes per chair. Comfortable and sturdy.

After a few years of buying cheaper plastic chairs for our firepit, we decided to invest the $$$ to get something with less maintenance and better weatherability. We've been searching for a few weeks and most places weren't shipping for 12 or 13 weeks. I found these online and didn't hesitate to order. They were the exact color I was looking for to complement our shed and the perfect size for me...I'm 5'2". Most other chairs I've sat in are too deep and my feet end up not touching the ground. My taller husband (5'10") still finds them comfortable as well. Although they require assembly, I was able to assemble them by myself and they only took about 15 minutes each. The chairs are very sturdy and have a nice weight so they won't blow over during a storm but are still easy enough to move as needed. One chair was missing 2 screws that should have been installed at the factory but after a quick call and a few pictures to Polywood the screws showed up 2 days later so excellent customer service as well. We can't wait to fully enjoy these chairs for years to come!
