I do most of my work alone and it's great not having to fool with braces and a deadman or two. I started using this in a fairly tight area, i.e., I'm putting up 92 1/2" long sheets in a 93" long space. Even working on a level surface, the telescoping bars have some back & froth movement so with getting past window frames and bumping wall studs it took 5-10 minutes to crank the sheet to the ceiling. The top swivels and that's a plus and I'm sure in a larger room work would go very fast. Sometime in the future I'll be using this thing from my wheelchair! I wish I knew about this thing 10 years ago! After reading reviews for a cheaper model, I'm glad I chose this one. I remember reading a few negative reviews about this model but I don't recall them and can't imagine what they were about. It is a solid tool and fairly easy to use. It shipped double boxed in 5 (?) pieces, arrived in very good condition and went together easily.

I can hang SR by myself with this machine. This model cost more but well worth it. Heavier gauge metal and very easy to use. Easy to assemble and take apart for storage. This machine is a DEAL.

It is actually a very nice panel hoist, unfortunately the description stated that the loading height is 34". But it is not! It has a height of about 39" to the bottom of the loading fingers. Which defeats my purpose, so I returned it.

This drywall lift is one step up from the cheapest one, and well worth the extra money. It's heavier duty, it goes higher, and it will support 12' sheets with the extension arms. Best for commercial jobs.
