A:  pull up on the spring loaded pin. I find it easiest to set center section on the floor with the wheels in the air and then pull the pin.

A:  You will have to lift that panel above the wheel on the picture

A:  No there is not a loader for this lift, you might have to hire 2 young high school kids to move & load it for you.

            I Love This Thing
My helpers kept calling out while working on a big job, so I purchased this and it showed up to work everyday and allowed me to put 5/8 Fireboard on the Ceiling alone. All you do is line it up and then put it all the way up. I didnt have any issues and I highly recommend this thing..

This drywall hoist gets the job done. However, I did not like lowering the hoist. Specifically if I had a sheet on it still. There is no real break, just a stop. I got a good whack a couple of times when I lost my grip on the wheel.

                Bought this lift .
I would not recommend buying this. I bought this because it was a little more then the average lift thinking you get what you pay for this is the third lift i had bought in one year. If you want a good one i found out you have the spend $800.00. And it comes with a warranty they stand behind! American Made!!

Let's talk assembly. A person can assemble this hoist in less time than it would take to write this review .. OK, that is a slight exaggeration ... but only slight. The hoist arrived double boxed, points right out of the gate. After removing the hoist from the boxes you will have a base (legs w/wheels attached), the actual hoist and the drywall support arms. Spread the legs of the base until they click in place, set the hoist into the base, set the support arms on the hoist. Almost done. Here is the hard part, screw the handle for the crank into the wheel. I am only using it with 8' drywall and the house has 8' ceilings so I am not giving this hoist a challenge in the least but for what I am doing it has worked great.

This is a really nice lift, not quite in the top tier of $1200-$3000 lifts, but very solid & well made. If you're wondering if you should get this or a cheaper HF or even other lighter duty $180-$200 units, don't even think about it! Spend the extra hundred bucks for this lift, It's made WAY better, I've seen & compared them, and it's a no brainer. I didn't want any issues while lifting 120 lb 5/8" Fire rated 12 footers up 10' in the air, and this lift had no problems doing it safely. Everything is better made & heavier duty than the cheap lifts, from the crank wheel to the casters to the handle & brake to the center beam & cross arms. It's money well spent! The box it was delivered in was actually double boxed & everything came in perfect shape. It's easy to wheel around 12' sheets with no problem. It fits thru doors nicely & the crank (and brake) are easy to use. I also used it on ceilings to lift 12' 1/2" as well, as there are fewer butt joints which take more time to do...so there is your $100 savings right there.

This came in without the upper pulley and shaft. I contacted the manufacturer/distributor as per the instructions to get replacements. After a few days of back and forth, I was told that they don't stock these. Period. I had to install a round bar in place of the pulley in order to use the thing. Take your chances. Or don't.

I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this product, but it was great! Took about 10 minutes to unbox and assemble. I had my brother helping me most of the time just because it was easier to lift an maneuver panels. I did load and install two panels by myself and found it relatively easy to use. Due to my ceiling being 11 foot in height, I also bought the scaffold to make my job even safer. I would highly recommend this product, but still use caution when working overhead as your panel is just balanced on the arms and can slide off.

Drywall Hoist Saves Us Time, Money, and Aching Backs!
We have a historical home that we are restoring with 11' ceilings. This drywall hoist is absolutely PERFECT!! Not only does it save my husband's back, but it also makes installation go 100 times faster than setting up ladders and extra workers. He is able to install the ceilings alone and in a fraction of the time it used to take. I am so pleased that we purchased this-- it is a wonderful investment! We ordered the hoist online, and it arrived in just days. It only took a few minutes to assemble...very easy. It works smoothly--not at all bumpy--the hoist is quiet too.

                      great product
An excellent design. Quick and easy to use for one person. Holds the drywall sheets in position well with absolutely no stress nor strain. Very solidly built. Breaks down quickly into 3 pieces for ease of movement from room to room and for economy of space for storage.

Should have gotten one years ago
I contemplated ever getting this, only because I did not hang that much drywall overhead... So my last job I said, "Why not see if it makes my job easier. It did !!!!!!!!!"
