I know this was only a 1-gallon size, but it was an EXTREMELY small plant with no established root ball. I was stunned when I received it considering the price that was charged for the plant and the shipping. Very disappointed.

Subpar plant
The grower took this plant from a smaller pot and stuck it in a gallon can. It had not even rooted into the gallon container. I took it out to plant and it had a very small root ball. This was not what I paid for. I am an experienced gardener and get many plants from growers. A gallon plant is rooted into a gallon container. This plan was not. It was a rip off. I planted the poor thing and fertilized. So far it’s looking good but should have been in better shape. I’m not sure where Home Depot gets their plants, but his is vary subpar. No more ordering online plants from Home Depot.

I was disappointed in that this one gallon plant was the same size as a 4.5 quart plant received in the same order. NOT worth it for$35.

Hydrangea
The hydrangea arrived in good shape and was packaged well. After planting approximately 10% of the leaf tips turned brown (assume from bruising during shipment). The plant has rebounded well and is healthy. This proved to be a good alternative as not many nurseries carry a wide selection of hydrangeas in Houston
