Q:Hydrangeas in AZ how long will they live
by|Oct 11, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Debbie, Thank you for reaching out, I am happy to help! The Little Lime Punch hydrangea will thrive in hardiness zones 3-8 and is likely to return the following year. If this shrub is planted outside of these parameters, there is no guarantee this will survive the high temperatures within your area, and our one-year guarantee will not apply. To determine your hardiness zone and which shrubs would be a great fit for your location, you may input your zip code into the website linked here: https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/ Please feel free to reach out with any other questions. You may contact us via email, at helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com; chat with us directly on our website or call us at 855-797-5268. Best, Sarah

Q:Can you plant these in fall?
    by|Oct 1, 2023

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Beach, Thank you for reaching out, I am happy to help! The answer is generally yes! The best time to plant perennials and shrubs is in the spring or fall. Cool temperatures, reliable rainfall, and short, bright days help plants make a quick and easy transition to your landscape. Depending on when you plant, make sure you provide at least 6 weeks before your ground freezes in fall. This way the shrubs have time to establish their root system before winter hits. If you are unsure, mid-November is a safe planting deadline for nearly everyone in the U.S.. You may also find your frost dates by inputting your zip code on the Almanac website here: https://www.almanac.com/gardening/frostdates/zipcode Please reach out to us anytime via email at helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com or by phone at 855-797-5268. Q:How fast growing is the plant?
      by|Aug 26, 2023

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi JoJo Thanks for asking. It is difficult to categorize the growth habits of the many plants that we sell. A slow-growing shrub would be a plant that grows less than a foot a year. A fast-growing shrub may grow in excess of 2.5 feet a year. Growth rates of the various plant classifications are estimated based on the plant being placed in ideal conditions with good fertility, adequate moisture and planted properly. Most hydrangeas will grow 1-2 feet per year. As always, please feel free to reach out to us at any time with any questions or concerns. You can email us at helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com or chat with us online! We are happy to help! ~ Cori

A:  Hello, thank you for asking. We are happy to help! No, our Little Lime Punch is not deer resistant! I recommend our Pugster Blue Butterfly Bush for a flowering shrub. I hope this helps! Beautiful healthy plant
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the plant and how healthy and fresh it looked. I was expecting a smaller plant in 1 gal, probably based on some of the reviews. There wasn't any little lime punch in my local Home Depot, but the 2 gallon little limes I saw there are around the same size. It came perfectly packaged and actually looked in much better shape than the plants they have in my local store.

Planted in September. It was good and healthy for a 1 gallon plant but that's pretty small; no flowers at all and not sure much in the way of buds set up for spring either. It seemed alright at the time, thinking this one was all I could find but I later found 3 gallon ones for half the price of the this 1 Gallon ones which also had several blooms on them.

Cut way far back and the leaves have spots from fungus in them.
