Dead on arrival
My wife and I decided to buy all now plants for our front yard and I sw this and thought it would be perfect for what we wanted to achieve. I saw the mixed reviews so I decided to purchase one before buying a bunch of them, so glad I did that. I received it today and I think it's dead and if it's not it's almost dead. I've uploaded images for you to see what I received. I'm not sure how anyone would really be okay with buying this plant.

wilted ugly plant received, super disappointed
I couldn't believe they would send a plant in such terrible pitiful condition. :( Need to return or throw away, it looks nothing like the photo online. Super disappointed home depot!

The first three of these plants I ordered were fantastic! - Full when i received them - they have already started growing and have become beautiful within a week. the 2nd set of 3 I received - only one of them was even 1/2 of the size the other 3 were and 2 of them were almost just a few sticks in a dirt ball. Very disappointed. Going to see what I can do to get my money back - I planted them in hopes they would just grow anyway - however - it has been almost a week and nothing.

Proven Loser is more appropriate; it should be avoided. Despite meticulous care, most of the perennials from this brand that I purchased in 2019 are now dead. What a waste of money.

          Nice Shrub
Was a little smaller than I expected, but in good health. I planted and had a frost the very next night that caused some damage. I pruned back and it's already recovering nicely. It's been in the ground a few weeks now and hasn't flowered, but maybe it's a late bloomer. I'd recommend.

            Weigela
My plant arrived quickly and was packaged well and I was initially thrilled. However, the plant looks NOTHING like the one in the video or the ones other customers received. It does not look like a $25 plant at all. It has little foliage and several of the branches are brittle with no evidence of future growth. I am returning it and will never order a plant online again. I am a huge fan of the Home Depot garden center and will continue to go to the store in person to select my plants.

So far, no flowers. I received this in the summer and missed the spring blooming. Perhaps it needs more sun in order to bloom again in the summer, so I may move it. The leaves are healthy and the plant seems to be doing well. For now, that's enough to make me happy as I've had other Weigelia's die and at least this one is surviving! It arrived well-packed about 18 inches tall and about 12 inches wide.

The Proven Winner Wine and Roses ColorChoice Weigela 1 Gal. Shrub arrived quickly and in decent shape considering its travel during the hot, dry weather of July. I opened the bottom of the box and lifted it away from the plant. I did not have to remove any damaged branches or foliage. I loosened the drawstring on the bag inside the pot that container the root ball and watered the plant. The plant perked up quickly and begged for planting so I planted the Wine and Roses Weigela in a spot where it would have plenty of room to develop. The one-gallon size is ideal for planting, especially if you are doing a group planting or border. This Weigela will provide a lot of show with very pink flowers and dark, purplish foliage. The butterflies and hummingbirds it will attract are an extra bonus. The Weigela will fill my spot beautifully growing to 5 feet in height and width. Since the shrub is hardy to Zone 4 and is deer resistant it is perfect for my needs. I’m happy with the Proven Winner Wine and Roses Weigela and can’t wait to see it bloom next spring.

Super Healthy on arrival! Had a ton of blooms already on the plant. :) Immediately impressed.....And as you can see by the picture that I've attached to this review it's about a year old. Since it's July and super hot, I dug the hole and filled it with water and then lowered the plant into the ground. Due to the severe heat and the fact that I've planted this on the West side of the house, watered it again the next day. It's drought tolerant but wanted to make sure it started out on the right foot. Hopefully you can tell by my picture the size of the plant if receiving it in the summer. I've had it about a week and the weather has been in the high 90's....One day, it rained but other than that it's getting hit by the elements and still looks as healthy as it did on arrival...even more blooms, actually. I'm impressed with this shrub and think you will too. Hint: Be sure to plant it in a spot that will be roomy enough when it's full grown: 4'-6' wide and tall :)

First of all the shrub came in undamaged and was easy to remove it from the box. The shrub had a plastic bag around the soil to retain moisture. The shrub will grow five to six feet tall and wide so leave enough room for it to grow. The flowers that bloom can be hand cut and are rosy pink. My wife says it's to hot at 95 degrees to plant so we will have to leave it on our deck until it cools off.
