Q:Can I use this on green arboricola hedge?

      Answer This Question

A:  This is a crystal powder that turns into liquid when added to water, so yes, you can use it on any plant pretty much.

      by|Sep 7, 2020

A:  I wouldn't use it on green hedges or green groundcovers. This is specifically for flowering plants. Green plants that do not flower have different requirements. It would be horribly expensive to use it on a green hedge and might not give those plants what they really want. Best to search online for how to fertilize green arboricola.

A:  Hello. Yes, I use this on my hibiscus plants every other week. I follow the dilution and dosing instructions on the package. It helped keep my hibiscus plants blooming beautifully throughout the season!

            by|May 20, 2018

A:  Yes, the product is suitable for that application.

              by|May 20, 2018

A:  When you plant the hibiscus use Espoma Plant tone in the hole, a handful. I would use half strength Espoma water soluble the first watering then full strength once a month thereafter. Happy Gardening!

A:  I do. I use it mostly on annuals but i really love this fertilizer. Much better than miracle grow! Look on the Priven Winners website. They have a customer service phone or question email. Ask them for sure. They are really nice and helpful! I just used 34 gals of this great fertilizer last night!

A:  Hi cjd, The tomatoes should be safe to eat. As garden vegetables grow, they undergo an intensive process that strips nutrients from the soil. Adding fertilizer keeps soil in optimum shape to feed your garden. Commercial fertilizers are labeled with three numbers that indicate the fertilizer’s nutrient ratio. The first number indicates the percentage of nitrogen (N), the second number shows the percentage of phosphate (the type of phosphorus, P2O5), and the third number represents the percentage of potash (the form of potassium used, K2O). This is what the numbers 24-12-17 fertilizer blend represent. If you have any questions, please call our hotline (734) 654- 7485. Best regards, Fallon

A:  I can't imagine why they wouldn't be. This is fertilizer, not pesticide, so it should have helped your tomatoes. I haven't used on tomatoes, just on ornamental plants, but it's a good fertilizer.

My wife's hanging baskets went from looking sick to excellent. She is totally happy and that is all that matters. Iron deficiency is a problem for hanging baskets after a couple of months. Proven Winners seems to be the only fertilizer to take care of that.

EASY TO KNOW JUST HOW MUCH TO USE
I have a lot of flowering shrubs in pots, along with flowering hanging baskets in the Spring and Summer, which add color and texture to my Southwest rock and gravel landscape. I like this Proven Winners fertilizer because it's easy for me to figure out how much to give each plant. The fertilizer comes in two plastic bags inside the plastic pail, along with a measure. You just add ONE measure (which is equal to a tablespoon) to ONE gallon of water. I swirl it around in my watering can with a stick so the fertilizer mixes thoroughly with the water. The other great thing about the Proven Winners fertilizer is that there is a chart on the side of the pail that tells me about how much mixed fertilizer solution to give my plants, depending on the size of the pot they are in. Even a 5th grader could do this! Finally, I just have to fertilize my flowering plants every one or two weeks to keep them look bright and healthy. Doesn't get any easier than this and totally takes the guesswork out of fertilizing!

                            So far so good
So in my area of South Florida we are finally starting our rainy season when our plants flourish. I had been using the miracle gro liquafeed and honestly saw no benefit. I paired this product up with the round up 2 gallon sprayer. I have been able to easily give the exact one scoop to one gallon ratio and the plants are perking up very quickly. I love that the product is slip into separate bags so if someone gets the product wet you do not lose the entire bucket. The instructions were simple. I have been using the product on everything from fruit to herbs to orchids and the plants are responding well.
