Bring a bold statement to your garden with the Little Lime Hydrangea, a compact shrub that delivers a massive visual punch. While maintaining a short stature of just 3-5 ft. tall and wide, this plant is perfect for creating stunning accents in containers, borders and throughout the landscape. In summer, it produces large, lime-green blooms on strong stems, which are excellent for fresh-cut flower arrangements. The real show begins as the season progresses, with the gorgeous lime blooms transforming to a beautiful pink and then a rich, deep burgundy in the fall, providing a spectacular display of color all season long. Please note, plant will be shipped in dormant state potentially from fall to early spring (metabolic inactivity-shredded foliage and minimal branches).

No, paniculata hydrangeas bloom on new wood every season
Hi Joan, Congratulations on your blooms! It's always exciting to see your plants thriving. As for the color change you're anticipating, hydrangeas can sometimes take a bit of time to fully develop their blooms, especially if they were recently planted. The white and green blooms you're seeing now might just be the initial phase. Hydrangeas like the Little Lime Punch Panicle are known for their ability to produce a variety of colors, including pink and red, as they mature. Factors like sunlight, soil pH, and overall plant health can influence the intensity and timing of color changes. Typically, as the season progresses and the plant establishes itself, you should start to see those pink and red hues coming through. Keep nurturing your hydrangeas with good care—adequate water, sunlight, and perhaps a bit of fertilizer if needed—and you'll likely be rewarded with a beautiful array of colors in due course. Enjoy your gardening journey! Best regards, Bell Nursery
Mid-August here- we are glad to have a healthy shrub with lots of blooms! But I was wondering if I was sent the wrong kind as I was not expecting the green/white blooms. They are starting to turn pink as the nights are getting colder in VT so we shall see
Hello there Joanne. Thank you for your question. Once the consistent warmth of spring arrives normally in late April, you will begin to see foliage buds from your hydrangea. Please feel free to forward us photos to online@bellnursery.com for further evaluation. Happy Gardening!
Hello there Renee. Thank you for your question. The hardiness zones for the little lime punch are 3 - 8. With extra care, you may be successful growing it in your zone but we wouldn't recommend it. Please feel free to reach out to us at online@bellnursery.com if we can help you further. Happy Gardening!
Hello there Seniorgardener. Thank you for your wonderful question and its an important one too. Spring and fall are great times to plant your trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials because its typically cooler, reducing the need for watering as often. That being said, trees, shrubs and perennials can be planted at anytime of the year as long as you're able to dig the hole, provide a well draining soil and water consistently when the top 2" of the soil is dry. We hope this information helps you in your gardening journey. Happy Gardening!
Hi Kate! Unfortunately, hydrangeas are not deer resistant. You will need to spray them consistently with a deer repellant product if deer are an issue in your area. Please reach out to us at online@bellnursery.com, if you have any other questions.
Hi Kate ~ Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, hydrangeas are not deer resistant. Some of our plants are deer resistant; some plants are not. However, even “deer-resistant” does not mean it’s “deer-proof.” Deer will eat just about anything if they are hungry enough. You may want to try using a deer repellent such as PlantSkydd around the perimeter of your yard to keep deer away from your plants. I have provided a link to our "deer resistant" plants below. : ) https://provenwinnersdirect.com/collections/all?pf_t_features=Resists+Deer As always, please feel free to reach out to us at any time with any questions or concerns. You can email us at helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com or chat with us online! We are happy to help! ~ Cori
Deer LOVE the blossoms. They will eat the leaves also. Definitely not dear resistant.
Hello there Eileen. Thank you for your wonderful question. Panicle hydrangea blooms such as the Little Lime Punch, are not affected by the Ph of the soil. The color of the bloom is genetically bred to remain true. Happy Gardening!
