Product Overview

Graceful Grasses Prince Tut from Proven Winners has bright green foliage with large poms on the ends of the stems. It is heat tolerant and can be used as a water or bog plant. Prince Tut looks great in large containers either alone or as a thriller in large combinations. It also is wonderful in the landscape, where it grows best with consistent moisture. Prince Tut cannot survive winters with freezing temperatures but is a fast grower once replanted in the spring.

Yes, but this is a bog plant so it can not be allowed to dry out. It must stay in lots of water.

How tall is the plant and approx.how heavy is the 4.5" container. Thank you

Answer

Hi Artemisia, Great question. In short it is somewhere between 5 inches and 12 inches when it arrives in a 4.5" wide quart container. It varies because we have multiple crops that we grow throughout the year, when you order, we grab the biggest, best and healthiest plant from our greenhouse to ship to you. I have grown Prince Tut before and I can assure you this is a very fast grower and it drinks a lot of water. The difference in age between a 5" Prince Tut and a 12" Prince Tut is about 2 weeks! I hope this helps! For any other questions please feel free to reach out to our help desk. We have professional gardeners staffed to answer you question over the phone or by email. Please reach us at (734)654-7485 or helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com Thank you, Shane Franklin Rogers

I ordered 2, but only one seemed more healthy and survived (close-up photo).I researched lots of info for growing needs, am a lifelong avid gardener, yet could only keep one alive. The other started turning brown on top, and then almost seemed to die from the base. The second one is doing okay so far, so I’m staying hopeful for now. (I just purchased a much larger one for same price at a specialty garden center....-further photo.)

So disappointed in the size of the plant. Definitely not worth the money. I bought the exact same plant at my local nursery and it was a fraction of the cost and much more mature (3 times the size) as the Home Depot purchase.
