Hi Elaine ~ No, Yuki Snowflake® (Deutzia) is not baby's breath. Baby's breath comes from genus Gypsophila. Yuki Snowflake® (Deutzia) has delicate bell-like white blooms in spring. Its neat, mounded habit and attractive fall color make it a great landscape plant, too. And it resists deer. As always, please feel free to reach out to us at any time with any questions or concerns. You can email us at helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com or chat with us online! We are happy to help!
Hello, thank you for asking. We are happy to help. If you live in a warmer climate (above freezing), all you have to do is plant the shrub, then feed and water it. Within a few weeks, signs of life will return as your plant adjusts to the warm climate. If you live in a cooler climate, keep the plant out of the elements by storing it inside your garage or home. Keep its soil moist until outside temperatures rise and your area is frost-free. Your average frost-free date can be found by calling your local garden center. Then, plant, feed, and water your plant and you’ll be good to grow! I hope this helps! If you have any questions please contact us at (734)654-7485 or helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com Kind Regards, Allie

Hi Laura, Yuki Snowflake (Deutzia) is hardy in zones 5-8. We recommend to prune to shape after flowering if desired.
Hi Starmoon7, Plant them as soon as possible so they have time to root in before freezing temperatures. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact us on at helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com or (734) 654-7485. Best regards, Amanda
Hello Bethhan, We recommend that you use Proven Winners All Purpose Potting Soil for all of our plants. As for the spacing on this plant, we advise that you plant the Yuke Snowflake about 1.5-2ft apart depending on how close you want them to grow together. I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact us on our hotline (734) 654-7485. Happy planting, Jade
This plant is very hardy. I live in zone 6 and planted 3 plants along my patio in a simple flowerbed. They need to be trimmed after the flowers die in the spring, and you can trim them way back to fit your needs. I feed them in the spring and have had no problems with them in the 5 yrs that I have had them.
Hey Betty, the Yuki Snowflake has a Hardiness zone of 5-8, be sure to check your USDA hardiness zone if you want this plant to come back year after year. However, it can do well in zone 9 if not exposed to harsh afternoon sun. I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact us on our hotline (734) 654-7485. Happy planting, Jade
