About This Product

The Panasonic NN-SC73LS microwave with Inverter Technology uses 1200-Watt of cooking power to cook, defrost, reheat and more. Unique Inverter Technology which, unlike traditional microwaves that rely on pulse-on, pulse-off power at lower temperatures, delivers a constant stream of cooking power at every temperature for more evenly cooked meals - edges to centers - every time. With the touch of the Genius Sensor cooking button, this microwave takes guesswork out of creating a great meal by automatically setting power levels and adjusting cooking or defrosting time for added time-saving convenience. The sensor measures the amount of steam produced during cooking and signals the microprocessor to calculate the remaining cooking time at the appropriate power level. A selection of 10-auto cook options enable you to quickly prepare your favorite foods, such as pizza, pasta, soup, casserole and other dishes, plus enjoy a dedicated popcorn button, keep warm function and more.                     I bought this microwave 2 years ago. And I started to see some bubbles at the top right after the warranty expired. I didn’t make much of it because I had no choice. But I never expected the whole inside melting in my food. That’s totally unacceptable. Panasonic is playing with people’s health. Are you serious???

                      Will not buy Panasonic microwave again
                      Stopped working after 20 months (less than 2 years). E05 error code. I spent a long time on 2 separate chats with Panasonic Support. Result: It could be the magnetron. No local Panasonic service centers. I could find a local appliance repair, and IF it’s the magnetron then the repairman can submit a form to be paid for the part only. Bottom line: this microwave oven is disposable, and for short term use. I will buy a different brand.

                        Doesn’t last…
                        Bought this unit from HD about a year ago and for several months now it only heats food intermittently. Most of the time I have to start it over and over until it finally decides to heat anything. For the price it’s not worth trying to fix or dealing with the run around of warranties if any are left. Getting a different brand today and will start over.

                          Doesn’t last…
                          We bought this microwave about a year ago and now it’s starting to act up where it won’t warm any food. You put a couple minutes on full power and food is ice cold. You have to keep repeating this process until it finally decides to heat food. Guessing the magnetron is defective but no way are we going to get assistance in getting it fixed or replaced. So in the trash it goes and we’ll start over with a better brand.

                            Design is poor not balanced
                            I just bought this today and upon setting on counter and opening door the weight of the door pulls tips the microwave forward not safe at all for taking hot items out. I placed plastic cups on top to keep it from tipping when I open the door. Another thing you need to unlock after every use because it's child proof and automatically locks, so when food is done you have to press "door open". Not sure it I'm keeping or not.

To deactivate the door lock, press the Defrost, Timer, and Popcorn buttons within 10 seconds. This will eliminate the need to unlock the door after every use.                               E05 death at two years
                              Lasted almost exactly two years until we noticed that it wasn't cooking things in the same amount of time as usual. A couple of weeks of that and we started getting the dreaded E05 code with unexpected shutoff mid-cycle. That happened six or so times, and then it stopped heating the food at all, if you could even get it to run. Reading other reviews, it sounds like we were lucky it lasted two whole years. Our first Panasonic Genius lasted from 1999-2015, so I thought I'd try another one. Won't make that mistake again.

                                The microwave i paid for was not delivered. What was delivered was a bathroom ceiling vent. The customer NO SERVICE LADY i spoke to tried to blame it on everyone except the home depot employee that put the label on the wrong box. This so he could steal my microwave from the warehouse and take it home or sell to someone for fast cash. Weeks later I am still without a working microwave and out over $200.

                                Control panel inoperable after six months
                                We bought this in late March 2024, just used for reheating meals, steaming veggies in bag, etc. then one day it just stopped. Had power to the unit, control panel was lit, but Genius buttons completely dead. Can’t reach anyone for advice at Panasonic. It’s still under warranty! We’re very unsatisfied!

                                  BLEW UP GLASS TRAY WHILE IT WAS OFF
                                  . Bought it 11/29/2023 It imploded while it wasn’t even on. . Four hours after my husband used it the glass tray had a huge hole in it and the bottom of the microwave had melted producing white ash and other unpleasant things. PANASONIC will not refund even though we have sent pictures and answered all their questions. they want us to take it to a UPS store to have it shipped back and IF IT IS DAMAGED IN THE PROCESS THEY WILL CHARGE US! It is still under warranty so Home Depot can’t/won’t help! Save your sanity, don’t buy this!
