24 in. Width 2.2 cu. ft. 1250 Watt Countertop Microwave in Stainless Steel with Sensor Cooking

I bought this to replace the microwave in my 20 year old Thermador SMW (Oven, Microwave, Warming Drawer). Original was a Panasonic with Thermador branding. This model is a perfect replacement, air vents and all. It provides 25% more cooking power than the old one!

Built a cabinet to house this thing. Wanted a cost effective MW that would fit in a cabinet, but look like a built in. This has worked well and the microwave heats things effectively.

This replaced a built in - above double oven- GE Profile purchased in 1999. After reading reviews on a suggested GE replacement that were horrible we researched and found this Panasonic with great reviews and about the needed dimensions. This was two months ago. Super pleased with our purchase. Love the Sensor Reheat feature. All you do is hit the button and start and it heats the leftovers to perfection! No guess work. Old GE had a feature that this missing- after it finished it would beep once and then continue beeping once every minute until the door was opened. This one beeps 5 times and then never again. Love the 1250 watts of power and the well thought technology. Best microwave oven in peer group!

Our old Panasonic microwave started to have age related issues. I did some research, and decided to stay with Panasonic and their invertor technology. Why change what works?

This ended up being the exact same microwave as a previous one I had, just a newer model. So with me buying two, I do like the product. Thus far my only complaint is that it is louder than previous versions. I think that is because the exhaust vent has changed locations. The noise is not that bothersome to me, but some may be annoyed. I have been pleased with the product so far. Used the defrost option for hamburger and it thawed it perfectly according to the weight I had input. I think this is the first microwave i have owned that I can say how perfect the defrost option has been. Because of the noise increase is the only reason I do not give it 5 stars. I would buy this again.

Have this brand at my job and I said I want that also just didn't know it was gonna be that huge o well love it! Hoes great with my fridge stove and dishwasher in my new home.

My over-the-range microwave went out, and while I argued the matter with home warranty company, I needed one. I tried to return to old school cooking, but it’s almost impossible nowadays. So I got this countertop one. This thing is a beast! It’s huge! It barely fits on a standard depth counter. It’s hard to take out your food to stir it and put it back, that’s how big. The pictures below illustrate the difference between a 1.5 c.f. unit and this one. The glass tray doesn’t even fit in the dishwasher. I did find the height of it pretty cool when I was steaming spinach. You need a large bowl in the beginning. Aside from that, it’s pretty sweet. I had to re-learn to cook/reheat my favorite foods. My old micro was 900 watts and this one is 1250 watts. Microwave instructions on most foods these days max out at 1100 watts, so you have to pay attention. The features are great. I’m a little disappointed that the 30 second button doesn’t start up the oven automatically, but you can “stack” hitting it to add before or during cooking. You can also stack cooking and standing time, and set different cooking power levels. Adjusting the levels is a little annoying. My old oven you pressed the power level button and then the number on the pad for the level you wanted. On this unit you have to press the power level multiple times to scroll through the options. My biggest complaints would be that the buttons are hard to read and would do better if they were more white, or the lettering more bold, or maybe backlit when you start pressing them. And the small LED interior light is much too dim for my taste. You can barely see what your food is up to in there. One of the things really do like is the defrost and reheat feature which, I guess, is the inverter aspect of the unit. In most ovens, when you choose a lower power level, the power output isn’t adjusted, just the cycling of power on and off. This unit actually does appear to reduce the power output so that when you want to defrost or reheat it’s a slower, gentler heating. The presets are useful, especially being able to adjust them with “more” or “less” buttons. There are more complex settings you can use that baffled me initially, but now I can do without thinking. It’s a worthwhile endeavor to read the whole manual. I’m trying not to get attached to it because I will need to replace the over-the-range one and free my counter up again at some point, but I already have checked with the food pantry at the local Episcopal church that serves lunch every day and they will gladly accept it. THEY can certainly make use of a beast this size.

My wife and I ordered this microwave because after thirteen years of use our current one is showing indications that the microwave tube is on the verge of dying. This microwave is a little larger than the 2.0 cu. ft.. one we currently have and also has 50 watts more output. The unit is advertised as being stainless steel but only the perimeter trim on the front door appears to be stainless. The sides and top of the unit has a black finish. The unit works as advertised. The inverter technology is an additional feature which cuts down cooking time. However, if this feature is used routinely you need to keep a record of cooking times for your favorite items to avoid undercooking. The owners manual is well-written and easy to follow. Ordered it Set 25, 2020, and here it is February 2022. It stopped working and it's giving me "H" error codes, which means it's fried. My use hasn't been terribly heavy, either.
