I dont leave reviews often but this fan is horrible. After the switch is turned on the fan takes 3 second to start spinning. The tech said it’s because its a DC motor. Then it takes another 3 seconds to go a bit faster, then 5 seconds to go faster ect until you get to the 30 seconds mark and it finally is at full speed. People think it’s broken because it does not come on right away. Called tech and they said its normal. DO NOT BUY THIS FAN. Buy the AC fan not the DC one!!!

I was hoping to get something really quiet and this fan is not quiet at all, 80-100 switch seems not making any difference, need to measure how much power it takes cause by ear test there is no difference at all, what a waste of time switching it to this one from my old loud nu-tone junk - cause this Panasonic fans they have exhaust on the wrong side not like any other 90% fans on the market, I could not move vent so I had to cut out another half hole next to existing one to fit this

The L-shape bracket attaches the side of a joist. To attachch the entire unit to the botton of a joist, one has to remove sheetrock about 1 in x 10 1/2 in. below it for retrofit. After installing the fan, one needs to patch the celling. A quite hassles. It should make a foldable installation bracket the only option for easy and reliable installation. The fan is quiet due to DC motor with no overshoot after power is initially applied to it.

I installed this in a bathroom addition with no space in the ceiling, so this one is installed into a 2x4 wall and will vent out to the side. Amazing that it fits just perfectly in the studs. It has separate wiring to do fan and light on a separate circuit. The light is decent, not very bright so I wouldn't rely just on the light . We are having 2 other light in this bathroom so that's not a problem. The fan speed switched from 80 -100 with a lever switch inside. The fan is very quiet. And the cover looks modern and slim. Great fan would recommend for small and limited spaces

The Panasonic LED Pick-A-Flow Ceiling/Wall Bathroom Exhaust Fan, 3-3/8 in. Low Profile Housing for 2 in. x 4 in. came packaged well in the product box. I got this to replace our contractor grade bathroom vent. I like how you have the option to choose 80 or 100 cfm by using the switch inside the fan. The installation seems like it will be very simple- it has a simple snap-in plug for the wiring and also came with a guide for the ceiling drywall. The vent has a simple white cover and the light on the center, and doesn't protrude very far down. I'm looking forward to using this and having more options than just a regular fan without a light. Note: If you will be using the night light mode, you need an additional wire connection/ switch on your wall. I didn't anticipate this, so we will be having an electrician help us with that piece.

The fan can be installed in a ceiling or a wall. The cover has a 5 x 5 inch panel in the center with an LED light which can be used with a dimmer switch if desired. It uses a 4" circular duct. Note - all ducted exhaust fans are required to be vented to the outside. I found the instructions to be very straightforward and easy to follow. It does utilize SmartFlow technology to adjust the speed of the fan based on the static resistance pressure in the ducts. This product was assembled in Mexico.

This isn't a standard bathroom fan, although it could be used for one. First of all, it's 12" square, and only 3 1/2" thick. It is made to use 4" duct, but you have to squeeze the duct into an oval to get it to fit onto the outlet. It comes with enough mounting options to allow it to be placed pretty much anywhere needed. It has 2 speeds (selected by an internal switch, so not intended to be changed very often), but even the high (100 CFM ) setting is whisper quiet. I wired the light to be on whenever the fan is on so as to not forget and leave it running. It also has a nightlight (1W LED) built in, but I didn't wire that up for my application. It was easy to wire, although the instruction sheet (i's one VERY large folded sheet!) is organized strangely. When you open up the first fold and pull out the first 'page' you are actually looking at page 1 and page 7, page 1 being at the top and 7 at the bottom. To read it, you have to fully unfold everything and then read the top half left to right before going to the bottom half. I originally assumed that I could just read the first fold to to bottom, but it didn't make sense. Then I noticed the 'page 7' at the bottom Other than the strange instruction sheet order, this is a wonderful product. I set it up to use as a welding fume exhaust in my workshop (hence the rough look in the photos) and it is working great. Very pleased!

It has a nice white cover with the LED light in it. This is a nice set up cause it is thin, you can almost install it anywhere. I like the night light feature. This is also nice cause of the adjustable cfm, it is just a switch, and it is clearly marked.

This Panasonic bath fan is perfect for older houses with two by four studs. It will work for ceiling or wall mounting with its thinner size. It may be good for thinner studs, but it still has all the modern features that we want today. The integrated LED light is the energy saving way to go. The ten watt dimmable LED chip panel board has a three thousand K warm white color with seven hundred lumens for a fifty thousand hours. The pick a flow has a choice of eighty CFM or one hundred CFM. It is a quiet .5 sones at eighty CFM and 1.1 sones at one hundred CFM. It will pull out humidity and stop mold from forming through the four inch oval duct. This fan has an energy star rating.

This Panasonic LED Ceiling / Wall Bathroom Exhaust Fan is a well made unit with many useful features like the speed selector called Pick A Flow 80 - 100 CFM. This allows you to adjust how strong the fan is to better match the size of your room. This unit also has a thin design allowing it to be installed in a 2 X 4 inch stud wall cavity. The fan unit has a 10 Watt dimmable LED with a 3000K warm white color. The LED also has a 1 Watt night light feature which needs an additional switch to control it separately. The unit should be very quiet using a DC Motor which is also more energy efficient and should last longer. There is a L bracket mounted to the side of the fan housing for mounting it to a wall stud or ceiling joist. As I will be mounting this fan in the wall and removing an older fan it will require some cutting of the wall board and modifying a wall stud. I feel the average home owner should be able to install this unit as long as you read the instructions carefully. The instructions show the unit using 3 switches, one for the fan, a second for the 10 W LED light and a third for the LED night light. I believe it will be easier for me to wire it with the 10 watt LED and the fan on one switch and the night light on a separate switch so I don’t have to add a larger switch box. The box states the warranty is 6 years on DC motor, 5 years on the LED and 3 years on all other parts.
