I have a 1985 era heat light vent fan controled by a wall switch with 4 controls, the 4 controls the separate main room light. Will the other 3 controls on the switch that control the vent, heater and fan light functions work on this WhisperWarm fan?

I installed a new Panasonic WhisperWarm for my mom's bathroom this week. The light is not bright as the same one I bought for my bathroom a few years ago. It is just a little brighter than my WhisperWarm's night light. What could be wrong?

I can’t seem to get just the fan running. When I turn the fan switch the heat comes on also. The heat only switch works and the light switch works.
