An excellent framing nailer, made to work
This nailer is one of the best tools I own. Despite the size and weight, it is very well built and feels very comfortable in the hand. It also drives nails completely to the head at all angles. I have used other framing nailers that will not drive nails completely on an angle. This one has no such issue. I have only used clipped head nails, but it will also take some round head nails as well.
The tip is steel, and has teeth on the sides to make digging into wood framing easy. This makes moving from shot to shot quicker and much more accurate.
It comes with a bump trigger that you can use in place of the single shot trigger that is installed. Replacing it requires only pulling a rubber grommet off the end of a pin and then switching the two triggers. The bump trigger comes with a replacement grommet. I have not used the bump trigger just out of personal preference, and fear that if the grommet tears while being removed I won't have another to replace the single shot trigger with. So, I have elected to leave it as is.
The first comment i would like to point out is that this nailer DOES take round headed nails as well. Not just Clipped nails. Has a very sturdy feel and at the same time is light weight and comfortable to hold and use. Has a very low recoil and doesnt wear you out. I love the depth adjustment and the fact that this doesn't jam. Paslode is by far the leader in the nail gun industry.
Great nailer! A powerful metal beast that will withstand use and abuse on the job site.
As an avid DIYer, I own an assortment of pneumatic tools and use pneumatic framing nailers all the time, but this is my first experience with a Paslode brand nailer and I have to say that I’m impressed with it. Before you can use the nailer, you will need to install an air hose adapter and load the magazine with nails, neither of which is included however, a pair of safety glasses is provided. I placed a strip of 2-1/2-inch 30-degree paper tape hot dipped galvanized nails into the magazine, which I unloaded into various types and thickness of scrap wood, mostly pine and cedar, left over from an earlier DIY project, without any jams. I had to fiddle with the air pressure and depth adjustment to drive the nails completely into the wood, but once adjusted, I was able to continually drive nails without having to go back and finish with a hammer, which saves time. The capacity of this nailer is excellent; holding up to 2 strips of nails in the magazine, from 2-inches to 3-1/2 inches. Although I ran whatever brand of nails I had on-hand through the nailer without issue, the manufacturer recommends using Paslode paper collated nails because they state using inferior nails or nails not specific to the nailer can cause jams and place additional wear and tear on the tool. The nailer is constructed of durable metal, except for a few plastic parts. A hex tool, which is conveniently stored in the end of the magazine, is included for making adjustments. Since I generally am not hard on my tools, I expect this nailer will provide years of reliable service if I do my part and take care to oil it. At 8.4lbs it’s lighter-weight than other framing nailers, with good balance and low recoil. The 30-degree angle is handy for toe-nailing and driving nails in tight spaces. The nailer features a soft, comfortable, rubber, non-slip grip and a built-in heavy-duty utility hook which could be used to suspend the tool from a belt, but is better suited for hanging on rafters. The aggressive tip allows you to drive nails at any angle without slipping. The nailer is capable of firing off up to 12 nails per second. An optional bump-fire trigger is included to prevent accidental bump-firing, but requires installation prior to use. For my test, I didn’t install the bump-fire trigger, but since I tend to slowly and deliberately land each shot with precision, when it counts, I plan to install the optional trigger. One thing to note is that the nailer won’t fire with less than 8 nails remaining in the magazine. While some users may dislike this feature, anyone who has ever driven nails and then realized the magazine was empty for the last dozen or so trigger pulls will appreciate this feature. Having been there and done that, I know I do. Overall, this is a great gun, and I have no complaints, but my biggest con would be the Operating and Maintenance Manual. Although the manual is illustrated and provides detailed step-by-step instructions, it's a generic manual covering all of Paslode’s nailers, so you really need to pay attention to what you are reading or you could find yourself following instruction intended for another nailer. Paper collated nails are costly. This Paslode nailer ensures that every shot counts.

Very Reliable and High Quality Framing Nailer
I recently obtained the Paslode F350S Framing Nailer for use on deck repairs and home improvement projects. The first thing I noticed out of the box is how big the body is on this tool. However, it feels very comfortable in your hand and has great ergonomics. After using the F350S replacing deck spindles, I am very impressed with it’s performance. Further details are discussed below.
Despite it’s daunting size, the F350S Framing Nailer is lightweight, weighing only 8.4 lbs. and balances right over the trigger. At 13 inches wide, it fits between standard 16 inch stud walls. The magazine holds 84 nails and is very easy to load. It uses 30 degree paper collated nails ranging in size from 2 – 3 ½ inches, and has a rafter hook for your convenience. There is a depth adjustment screw on the tool, requiring an onboard hex wrench. Once you get the depth honed in, the F350S drives nails very consistently and fast. It comes with two triggers, one for sequential fire and another for rapid (bump) mode. The exhaust port is also adjustable.
The only negative thing I found is there is no quick connect coupler included for the air hose, and it requires a 3/8 inch coupler. If you are looking for a pneumatic framing nailer that is lightweight, reliable and powerful, look no further than the Paslode F350S.
