How many pavers do I need for a 572 square feet patio?

Asked by Monica July 20, 2020

Answer

These pavers are 7x3.5 each. Multiply 7 x 3.5= 24.5" Divide that number into 144 (one square foot) One square foot is 5.87 pavers per square foot. Round up... 6 pavers per square foot. You have 572 square feet. Multiply your 572 square feet to 6 pavers. You'll need approx 3432 pavers. Hopefully you calculated your square footage correctly. :)

You will need approximately 3600 bricks/stones for that coverage. 3,585 to be exact. I would order 3750-3800 and return the unused portion.

Is there a pattern for this using the 7x7 and 7x10.5 block

There are many different type of patterns or you can create your own. The goal is to stagger the bond lines to create the interlock between the blocks to add strength.

what is the best way to cut (and cheapest) including angles?

You would need 395pcs including a 5% waste to cover that area. Thank you for your inquiry!

Can these blocks be used to make a small planter, maybe 6 courses tall using adhesive to bond them?

Yes they could. It wont be water proof, but if you stagger them it could work. The adhesive does not stick to them very well (I used liquid nails).

This is a couple of ways I have used these pavers. I love the color of them ... I have them mixed in various patterns with gray pavers ... love the affect.

I ordered 192 of these as part of project to redo my back patio. The RumbleStone pavers are fine for the price. I was trying to stay under $1500 for pavers and these came in around $1100. Pros: The sizes worked really well for creating different patterns, and being 1.75" thick made installation easier than some of the thicker options I considered. I ordered 5% extra for my project to account for damaged stones, etc. but ultimately, I didn't need that many - most of these shipped intact. Stores near me carry these in stock which allowed me to see them beforehand and know I could get more quickly if needed. Cons: The quality is pretty basic. The stones have marks on them that won't come off. Some pavers have ridges along the side to help provide spacing between stones. This would be great and allowed the polymeric sand a better gap to seal the bricks together. The finished product came out looking nice, but not great.
