If you use a narrow step width like 24inches could you use one stringer and bolt wood at center 12 inches or do you still need two stringers?

Hello Thomas, thank you for your question. Bolt stringers to deck facia board with 3/8" x 1½"lag bolts (not included), bolt bottom of stringers to landing or concrete pad with ¼" x 2¼" anchor pins (not included) and install treads using ¼" x 2" carriage bolts and nuts (not included).
