Is this the best scratchproof /waterproof product that Home Depot sells? I've seen reviews for Lifeproof indicating it scratches easily and I need the best durable and scratchproof floor since I have four cats.

Hello! This will come with an attached pad. If you are installing over concrete, you will need to use a 6mil polyethene vapor barrier. If you are wanting to use an additional pad, the only underlayment we will warranty is the Pergo Floormate. If you are installing over wood, no additional pad is needed. Thank you for your inquiry. -Amy

                      Absolutely gorgeous
I am converting a sleeping porch in my 1910 house to a sun room. I didn’t want hardwood as I would be watering plants & didn’t want that worry. This matches the oak flooring in the rest of my house perfectly & is stunning. Love, love.

Anndel Oak - Looks Ok But Flimsy Planks - Poor Quality - Terrible Padding
The back padding is cheap styrofoam packing material which does not cover entire area of plank. Many were way off-center as well creating large gaps you can feel when walking on it. I ended up pulling the whole floor up, scraping off the pad on every plank and put down 40 cent/sqft. underlayment. They should just sell the planks with no pad. Very difficult to join plank rows. You have to tap them as you push down simultaneously. Planks are very flimsy. Actual thickness is only 7.6mm. No reinforcing help if floor not level. Must have a perfectly flat floor or you will feel soft spots. Quality issues. 1 plank in every box had defects or damage. Side lips are very fragile - almost cardboard like. Some edges are not the same height and you can notice if light shines at right angle. I have bought laminate flooring at 99 cents / sqft that is much better quality. Looks ok overall but beware it is darker than advertised.

I installed this in my office and am very happy with how it turned out. It looks good and went together easily. Having the foam pad preinstalled was very nice as it meant I didn't have to put down any underlayment first, which made the install simpler and faster.

                          Looks great!
Very happy with our choice. Existing room had carpet and very loud sub floors. The planks weren’t sitting entirely on the joists. In ‘85 the builder also used particle board over the planks. The particle board was in great condition but it had to be removed to get to the planks. We hired someone to secure the planks and lay new plywood while leveling the floor. We had them install the flooring and couldn’t be happier with the result. If you decide to pick up the flooring yourself make sure to pick up the accompanying trim kit.

You get what you.pay for. As a Perfo product I was hoping the flooring was as tough as an early flooring we had. This product doesn't like impacts for accidental drops, leaving dents in our new flooring. Lots of chipping during installation.

Nice but really COLD on the feet.
Finished installing the Pergo Andell oak laminate flooring 3 days ago. It’s COLD, very COLD. I don’t understand why but the flooring doesn’t stay warm once it does warm up during the day. Every morning (it’s still March in the west so it’s chilly still) I get up to make coffee and the floor is uncomfortably cold. My solid hardwood floors are warm that are in the room right next to the Pergo that is in the kitchen, no wall separating them. The floor I put the laminate over was never cold before. There are little glue/adhesive globs here and there on the flooring, it came that way out of the box. I’m not sure how to get it off??? Some of the padding on the back of the planks have not been correctly placed and hang over the edge a bit. If you don’t trim it back the planks will not go together tightly no matter how hard you tap and push, snap…. I really love the look, it’s pretty and seems durable, time will tell. Just really bugged that our feet are freezing all the time now.

Looks nice, terrible quality, hard to install
The flooring pattern and color is really nice, and the attached underlayment is a bonus. It really does look like hardwood! However, the quality of the planks is terrible and I struggled with the installation. This was not my first time installing flooring but it was definitely the most difficult due to the manufacturing of the product. The planks are MDF so if the joints are not completely tight, there is no way it will be water resistant as indicated in the product description. The planks I received did not "snap" together (as outlined in the instructions and the video from the manufacturer). In fact, one plank was completely missing the tab to snap into the previous row over the entire length of the plank. Another plank was broken and almost all of the pieces over eight boxes had the corners of the locking tabs smashed so they did not snap together properly. I already had an installation kit and when I tried to use it on these planks to close the gaps, the flooring pattern chipped. It was hard to get the pieces to stay together as they were installed so I used making tape to hold the joints as I installed each row. I don't think the pieces were the same size. There are a couple of sections where it is apparent that a plank was narrower than the others which caused a gap. Like I said, this was not my first time installing laminate flooring but this was definitely the hardest. I would not choose this flooring or install it in any future projects.
