Not as advertised
I bought this flooring when I retired 5 years ago thinking it would be the last flooring I needed. I went with the XP version because it claimed to be animal friendly with a picture of a Great Dane on the cartons. I have to admit that installation was very easy and it looked absolutely stunningly beautiful when I was done. I tried following all precautions by putting felt pads under all my furniture and only using a Swiffer semi dry broom. Well after 5 years the flooring is horribly faded and scratched. My Irish Setter's paws(from just walking on it) have scratched it horribly. I am very upset. I tried filing a claim but was told I couldn't because some of my receipts(I saved them all) were faded and couldn't be copied. I am not purchasing another floor until my dog is no longer with me. Then I will probably look into vinyls. Bottom line is "Laminate flooring is not animal friendly"

In 18 boxes, we have found 7 planks with flaws serious enough to prevent usage. On the back of one plank, the pre-attached underlay is twisted sideways and torn. On the other flawed planks, each a deep mark that has the look but not the texture of a light colored long scratch. Seems to be flawed in the production method, not damaged after production. The installation method is good. We are installing on plywood flooring that was under our carpeting. Only our age is slowing down the install process. My husband was a trim carpenter for over 30 years, but even for less experienced home owners this install is possible. There are some great Youtube videos that show step-by-step, even the common mistakes. Overall, we love the color, graining and texture. There is enough variation to make this floor look natural. We are so happy we chose the pre-attached underlayment. The flawed planks do not change my overall opinion of the product. They just need better quality control at the factory.

I'm very pleased with this flooring. It looks and sounds like real hardwood. The realistic wood grain stands out. I love how the color compliments the color on my walls. I just recently installed it and it was easy to install. I would recommend any Pergo flooring.

However, there is no stair nose in this color and it has been incredibly frustrating for the person installing our floor to attempt to create stair nose with the 4 in 1 molding. I don't understand how there is stair nose for every other PERGO flooring, except this one....

I really love this flooring, at first I thought it would be too dark but it looks great. I've seen a lot of complaints about how hard it is to snap the joints together but if you buy a flooring block and puller bar this product is easy to install. Also, if you're going to be cutting the floor planks yourself use a miter saw/table saw blade with at least 80 teeth, anything less than that and you'll get little chips from the blade on the cut line.
