AnswerBoth bees and hummingbirds are attracted to sweet nectar in flowers. We do not have recommendations for a nectar that does not attract bees as both are looking for a sweet tasting nectar.

Good price and the birds love it, but I add 2 table spoons full of sugar to 24 Oz's. in the winter as the flowers are rather limited and I have nesting humming birds in the immediate area.

When IT comes to feeding the birds Home Depot has the brands and products to enrich the spirit of flight. Mom and I always loved watching the hummingbirds up by Grandma's house in Wisconsin. The way the seem to hover about in my opinion is a miracle of nature to observe and photograph. And with now with the fall season in bloom and winter approaching I can think of no better gift under the tree for Christmas that a 2 LB bag of Hummingbird Nectar. This way I can teach my son and grandchildren the value of nature and mans efforts to preserve such marvels for the next generation of scout leaders. Of interest I learned that in the Greek and German languages respectively that the word Nectar manifests many gifts of namesakes and meaning. And this is the essence that flows from Saint Nicholas and his wife Mrs. Claus. So with that I suggest that everyone who can pick up a bag *pardon the pun, do so and look up to that nesting cluster in the pine tree to see the light of that special star that continues to point the wise sages in the direction of precious life. The hummingbirds adore perky pet nectar. It's easy to prepare the proper measurement using a baby bottle because the ounces are marked and easy to read. To prevent ants from invading the nectar, I have to coat the garden hook with petroleum jelly each time the feeder is refilled.

This product is a great deal and I have been able to keep all my humming bird feeders full without having to purchase multiple bags of powder mix. This product also lasts for a very long time when it is kept in an air tight bag or container. This product dissolves easily in water and makes feeding the humming birds simple and easy. I love this product and will recommend it to all my friends with humming bird feeders.
