Not 100% squirrel proof BUT..
It's much better than others I've purchased in the past. Squirrels are clever and there's no such thing as 100%squirrel proof but this feeder prevents them for cleaning out all the seed in 1 day as others do. I only need to fill this feeder about once per week.
I love to watch the beautiful birds the squirrels can be entertaining.

NOT Squirrel Proof!
Within 1 hour of putting out the squirrels had unscrewed the top, and were also eating away down below. Nice feeder but NOT critter proof. I have lots of photos of this, maybe I should send some to the manufacturer!

This seems like a good feeder and holds a lot of seed. Birds took some time to get used to it after the old one I had. Would recommend.

Our bird's wouldn't go near this FEEDER... We tried for four Days. The metal cage wire will cut little fingers too. No perch for bird's, maybe this is WHY they won't go near it.

We are sorry to hear that! Our feeders are designed to be safe for birds. Birds are creatures of habit and can take some time to adjust to a new feeder. You may want to try relocating the feeder to another area in your yard. Placing the feeder near a fresh water source is a great way to help birds find it!

I recently purchased this to replace another bird feeder that...
I recently purchased this to replace another bird feeder that had a cable like wire running through the top, which had snapped. I had one that was similar to this, but it was all [plastic. Since this one already had the screen around it to keep out the squirrels I had to get it. I also rigged up a tray for underneath it to capture the seeds that the birds don’t eat. I also had a dome for above it to keep the feeder dry. It’s very easy to refill, just unscrew the top and fill it. It did take the birds about a week before they’d come to feed at it, but it was worth the wait. My added rigging has seem to keep the pigeons away from the feeder.

Broke after a year and a half
Plastic did not hold up to the sun and the inner plastic broke after a year and a half despite us bringing it in over the winter.
