Q:It looks like the sensor is directly in front of the sink. A lot of other models (including the one I have now) the sensor is on the side. If it's in front I would think I would be constantly turning it off and on while at the sink. Thoughts?

Q:Some reviews mention needing additional parts/tools to install this faucet that do not come in the box. Can you please confirm which ones? Also, does the handle always need to remain in the "open" or out position to activate the sensor?

Horrendous installation
Unless your sink isn't installed yet or you have a shallow sink do not buy. Pfister uses an 1.5" nut to secure the faucet which makes it impossible to tighten under the sink. Pfister makes you buy their "special tool" to install.

Broken Connector Water leak (second time)
I bought this model a year ago and after 8 months of service the hose starts to have water leak and a huge mess in our kitchen.
As the pieces have lifetime warranty I received a new one and just after 2.5 months of service the unit fails again in the same place.
It is a very nice looking piece, but seems it is made with low quality materials (cheap).
I will say that the customer service persons are very good trying to solve your problem, but it is really frustrating to keep sending emails about this .

It would be a simple installation except for my own...
It would be a simple installation except for my own situation with the deep sink. Still, it wasn't so bad. It didn't take all that long. It was just a case of making a lot of very small turns with the wrench to snug the faucet to the sink. All the other connections were quite easy to do and understand. Overall a pretty nice improvement in the kitchen.

Spray mode buttons poorly made
We bought this in 2019 and have generally liked it. We quickly got used to using it hands-free. We purchased the part so we could plug it in instead of burning through batteries. But from the beginning, the buttons to switch between spray modes seemed weak. They never worked 100% of the time. It wasn't a major problem until this past year. Now, we have to manually pry up the buttons to get it to go from spray to regular stream. I'm hopeful the warranty claim will go through, but I'm doubtful the button design has been re-done considering they still sell the exact same model 4 years later here. If it weren't so darn expensive, I'd replace it with a different one. I even recall at the time of purchase reading a few negative reviews about the buttons. I had hope it was user error but indeed, they do seem poorly made.

hands free feature stopped working after 6 months
I installed this faucet 6 months ago and it was working as advertised. The faucet is connected with electric power so batteries dying is not a problem. All of the sudden 6 months later the sensor stopped working as it was. Now it only works randomly which is very annoying. i have been trying to find troubleshooting directions to no avail. I can hear the control box clicking but the water doesnt shut off if running or open if close. Any ideas how i can fix this problem. This makes this faucet worthless

Really pleased with the faucet so far. Installation was fairly straightforward, though we did have to purchase new supply lines because our old ones did not fit properly. The touchless feature is awesome and easy to use. I like that we have a plug in and battery (sold separately) option for it. The pull down nozzle is a little difficult to detach at times, but that may loosen a bit with time/really isn’t a big deal. Overall, we are very happy with this faucet.

Think twice if you really need touchless
Aesthetically, this is an appealing faucet. The Touchless Technology, however, is proving to be more of a burden than a benefit. When using Touchless, the pressure is at the mercy of the last use which almost always results in needed adjustments therefore negating the 'touchless' aspect. Additionally, the sensor is so good that most movements (hand washing, dish rinsing,,,) cause the water to turn off unnecessarily. Really wishing we would have forgone this feature.
