Great value at under $4 each - even though I've seen 3 different prices for this in the past month. Seems plenty strong and may hurt less than a metal one when you inevitably stub your toe. Will work w/ max 1/2" rope. Only problem: when I called the manufacturer before purchasing to find out what size screws I needed I was told by "John" in "engineering" that it took #10 screws. It actually has 17/64" diameter holes that accommodate 1/4" screws and they're 1 1/8" deep (1 3/8" total height of cleat). I used #14 x 4" SS deck screws to mount. I think #10 screws would be too flimsy. Minus 1 star for bad info from PlayStar.
