It is not offered for in-store purchase. You order it online and have it shipped and delivered to you. It really looks like embers instantly when heated.
No, it is not recommended to be used in an outdoor wood firepit.
I dont know any reason why you could not use these fibers outdoors. As long as there is a a rain cover over the pit.Im sure rain would either rust them or rot them......
The fibers are Rock Wool -GHP Group Customer Support
they need a gas flame to glow. Not appropriate for a non-heated fireplace with flicker bulbs.
Hello Greg, yes. These are designed for vented or vent-free log sets where they will be exposed to heat and flame. -GHP Group Customer Support
no don't work
It does not have a ember pan.
Hello Mariann, that fireplace model does not have an ember pan. -GHP Group Customer Support
Hello Pat, you can use this with an electric fireplace but it will not give you the same effect as it would with a real fire. -GHP Group Customer Support
Hi Dean, Thanks for visiting our site! Placement of gas logs is key when the log set is Vent-Free. Without knowing which Empire Gas Woodstove is yours, I cannot determine if your stove is Vent-Free or Vented. Vented Gas Logs allow for various log arrangements due to the fact that they are designed to be ventilated through a direct vent or through a chimney. Soot and carbon are produced when a gas flame comes into contact with anything that changes the shape of the flame. If these embers interact with the flame, soot production will increase, and the log set will require venting. Thank you for asking, -Travis
Hello Dean, This unit is vent free meaning that log placement is going to matter. Our embers will not create soot as long as they are placed per our owner's manual.-GHP Group Customer Service Team
