Note: If product is not available to order in your area that is due to nighttime temperatures. Product may not cure and/or track in late Fall and early Spring applications. Plush color recreational coatings are 100% acrylic, high performance, non-fading all weather color systems for use on tennis, basketball, pickleball and other recreational surfaces. Plush color will adhere to asphalt, emulsified asphalt and suitable concrete surfaces (never before painted concrete must be properly prepped via acid etch and primed with PT-Primer X). There are three key functions that provide the foundation to Plush color's coatings: playability, durability and vibrant, fade resistant colors. The entire Plush color line is acrylic based and low VOC making them easier to clean and easier on the environment.
Plush color is to be applied with a commercial grade rubber squeegee
Playability - outstanding performance is the key to the best playability assuring the player a consistent ball bounce and stability
Durability - our 100% acrylic binder is fortified with fibers assuring the highest quality surface and made to resist harsh weather conditions
Fade resistant colors - the color protection formulation guarantees a non-fading court, Colors are representations only as screen monitors may not reflect actual paint color
Application rate - coverage will depend upon the porosity of the surface to which the Plush color acrylic color system is applied the average coverage will be 300-400 sq. ft. per 5 gal. pail (0.07 gal./sq. yd.)
Drying time is 30 to 90 minutes under optimum conditions - humidity, surface temperature and ambient temperature will affect drying process
Plush color acrylic color should not be applied when ambient temperature is below 50°F or when surface temperature is above 140°F, Manufacturer will not cover warranties when applied in colder / off season temperatures (below 50 degrees F at night)
Do not apply in if rain in forecast within 24 hours, do not store in direct sunlight and do not let product freeze
Plush color acrylic color should be allowed to cure for 24 hours before courts are opened for use
Note: for Portland cement (concrete) applications surface must cure for a minimum of 30 days; after 30 days, new concrete must be acid etched with either phosphoric or muriatic acid. A coating of our 5.5 Gal PT-Primer X Urethane must be applied to surface before application of Plush recreational surfacing products.
Prep: Surface should be thoroughly cleaned prior to coating; power wash surface to remove any peeling, algae stains, dirt, grease...then blow off; use plush patch binder kit for cracks and depressions post cleaning and prior to coating
It is recommended to apply a coat of Plush Acrylic Resurfacer prior to the color coats. The acrylic resurfacer helps level the court and promotes strong adhesion
Mix: See use and care manual for instructions. Plush color is ready-to-use. Open and mix all pails with a mechanical mixer prior to application.
Do inbounds first; pour bead across width of court and using a squeegee overlap as you go back and forth across court
Please visit our Color Calculator to find out how many gallons you need
Two coats of color is required to achieve a long lasting rich color, Application of the final coat needs to be at one time
Coating is anti-slip, additional sand does not need to be added

Not ready for Prime time in the Northwest
The product looked great for about 6 months when I painted my tennis court last Summer. Unfortunately, it only lasted a few months until it started raining. The court has bubbled up in hundreds of places and now is a complete disaster. The black resurfacer worked great. When it the top coat peels the primer coat is still in great shape underneath. Wish I would have read the reviews a little better. This would probably work better in warmer climates, definitely not the Seattle area.

Horrible product!
Beware!! If you are doing a project on concrete painting for your sports court, please STAY AWAY from this product!!! We are experienced concrete painters in our old residence and we used a competitor’s product (Universal Tennis) in 2015 without any issues. Unfortunately, they are now out of business.
We followed this product’s directions as indicated. Even used their primer. But these Plush paints are producing bubbles horribly! It adviced how many buckets you should buy but we ended up spending thousands of dollars for our full basketball court! We tried contacting, communicating, emailing the Manufacturer and they did not want to own the problem. These products are made by Dalton Enterprises. Read the other reviews and i feel so bad for all the victims! My biggest regret is that i didn’t read reviews enough before we bought it. Now our problem is how to undo it! Here, we include pictures of our old house’s court that we DYI and pictures of our new court. You can see the difference! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer,
We have reached out to the manufacturer and their reply is, As we previously told you, the concrete had a smooth finish which does not allow the paint to ‘grab’ onto the surface. The concrete needs to have a brush finish. The type of squeegee used was also Not correct. We tried to work with you by providing guidance and discounted product to help resolve the issue. Unfortunately, nothing was good enough to right the situation. The directions must be followed in order to successfully coat your court.

Terrible quality: Bubbled and cracked
It looked good for a very short while, and then it began to bubble and crack in many places. I used 3 coats of each color plus spent $350 on the recommended primer. I followed the directions exactly including waiting 30 days after concrete was poured. Now the paint is bubbling and tearing away down to the concrete. Terrible product. Over $1000 of paint, supplies, and multiple weekends of work ruined by a bad product.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer,
We have reached out to the manufacturer and their reply is:
"I’m sorry for the issues you had with our product. The yield can fluctuate due to the porosity of the surface it is being applied to. The Acrylic Resurfacer coat helps by filling the porous areas, and also promotes adhesion with the color. Did you apply a coat of the acrylic resurfacer prior to the color coats?"

Tennis court
I love this paint.
I looked at it for 4 yrs and decided to go for it.
I patched my tennis court and rolled the paint on . It took 3 1/2 5 gallon buckets for the green. Will see how it holds up though the winter.
I am a 67 yr old women and it was very easy to use.
Are painting the lines and then doing the red outside next.

I had a 3" concrete slab poured in my backyard two months ago for a basketball court and wanted to give the surface some color and that tennis-court surface feel. I found this product on Home Depot's website, read the reviews (for all three colors available) and decided this product would fit the bill.
I started out by acid etching my concrete slab with muriatic acid and pressure washing the acid off after a few minutes. I waited a few days later and applied the Plush Acrylic Resurfacer to give the base that grippy texture and as a bonding agent for the Plush Tournament color surface coating. The directions in the Acrylic Resurfacer calls for mixing in 80-100 mesh silica sand but Home Depot only sells 30 mesh silica sand and the other big box home improvement store doesn't carry silica sand. Applying the Plush Acrylic Resurfacer is a real pain in that it gets very clumpy and leaves behind clumps of varying sizes that I later have to go back and scrape off. I think it must be due to using the course 30 mesh silica sand but I really don't know where to buy this 80-100 mesh silica sand. Anyhow, after two coats of the Plus Acrylic Resurfacer and a lot of scraping to level it all out, it was time to apply two coats of the Tournament color Recreation Surface Coating.
Using a 32" squeegie, I was able to squeegie the color across the entire surface of the resurfaced floor. The resurfaced based really absorbed that first coat well -- so well, that the blue surface quickly darkened up after it dried and left a rather patchy looking mess with some sections more transparent than others. You absolutely need to apply a second coat after the first coat dries to get the color to opaquely cover the dark grey Acrylic resurfaced base and so that it doesn't leave a patchy look. But after the second coat was applied, the surface looked great!
Afterwards, I painted the basketball court key (the rectangle area under the hoop that leads to the free throw line) a yellow color using yellow latex striping paint, mixed with an anti-slip paint additive. The yellow latex striping paint adhered nicely over the dried up tournament color surface coating. I chose to go with a paint to get the contrast and color combination I wanted (the Plush color system is quite limited with just blue, green, and red).
So why did I give this product only 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 stars? Well, I originally started with two 5-gallon buckets and after the first coat, realized that two buckets was not enough for two coats (33' x 32' area). So I ordered another 5-gallon bucket (this was three weeks after the first two buckets). Well, to my disappointment, the new bucket was a completely different hue of blue!! Unbelievable!!! Don't they use the same ratio of ingredients when manufacturing this product!? I had to spend two hours mixing back and forth the new product with the remaining product I had from the previous order until I ended up with an even mixture of both colors. This was a real pain. Yes, I used a power drill with a paint mixer but I wanted all the buckets to be the same color. I am going to attach photos to show you the obvious difference in color tones between the two buckets. Horrible.
If you order the right number of buckets in advance, you'll be fine but if you do end up using more than one batch, be prepared to be disappointed as you'll need enough product to completely cover what you've already applied. The end result looks great if you don't encounter the color differences between one bucket to another as you can see from the end result (photos attached).
