Extremely Poor Quality Control
This was the second one I bought, and the second one that was so defective as to be unusable. I thought that, buying one well over a year after having bought the first one, my chances of getting another defective item was pretty slim. But as it turned out, I did get another defective Polder thermometer.

I like it a lot more than I even expected....
I like it a lot more than I even expected. It is well made and sturdy, looks good and easy to use for sure. I was concerned about having to calculate the temperature needed for different types of meat and it does everything for you on the screen and does a little chirp when it shows the correct temperature. It also reads super fast and is such a time saver. It also has a light on it, and has a far reach. The only thing, that could make this thing better is making it completely waterproof.

I love this 2 position easy to read thermometer. It sits comfortably in my hand and keeps me from burning my skin on the oven rack. I was really surprised by the large size! Folds back nicely and am keeping it clean by stowing it in its nice package. Like it for the outside grill too. Highly recommend

Replaced my digital poldar thermometer after I used it on the Weber Kettle and melted it. This model isn't as easy for me to operate (older lady and not understanding easily the instructions. ) I figured out how to get the temperature for meat and that is all I do with it although it appears to have more functions. Purchased this in July 2020.
