Product Details

Pool Time MAXBlue Clarifier is 1 of the most powerful pool water clarifier yet. This super concentrated clarifying formula removes small contaminants found in swimming pools that can make your pool water look dull, hazy and cloudy. MAXBlue Clarifier combines these small contaminants into much larger particles, so your pool filter can effectively and efficiently remove them from your pool water. The results are crystal clear, sparkling blue water. The large bottle size means less trips to the store and the pour spout helps avoid spills that sometimes happen with liquids.

  • For clear, sparkling blue water

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi Sccmhayes, We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. Our MAXBlue Clarifier helps keep your pool water crystal clear, but it is NOT an algicide. We would recommend the use of our MAXBlue Algicide, Algicide 50 or Algicide + Clarifier, according to their directions for treatment of visible algae, to treat an algae outbreak in your pool. If you have any other questions, please give our Technical Solutions team a call at 1-800-252-POOL (7665). Thank you.

          Awesome
I, unfortunately, had my inground pool become flooded over during a recent heavy rain event. After the flood water had receded, I added one bottle of this clarifier and all the (fine) silt had settled out within 24 hours to be vacuumed out the next day. Great product!

            Made my water blue
I will not use this product again. Made my pool water worse by giving it a slight blue tint. Since I do not have a blue pool, mine is pebble Tec, it just looked worse then when I started. I am slowly getting it clear again by rinsing the "blue" out of my filter every day.

Hi Cybersquid, We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that your recent experience with our MAXBlue Clarifier did not meet your expectations. Our MAXBlue Clarifier contains two clarifying agents that act as a dual action maintenance clarifier. We recommend adding 12 ounces per 20,000 gallons (or about 10 ounces for your 16,000 gallon pool) initially, followed by weekly maintenance doses of 4 ounces per 20,000 gallons (or about 3 ounces for your 16,000 gallon pool) weekly. After adding the product to the pool, it is important to allow your pump and filter to run for at least 12 hours. For best results, we always recommend using the product in accordance with label directions. If you would like assistance troubleshooting your pool's cloudy water concerns or if you have any other pool care related questions, please give us a call at 1-800-SOS-POOL (767-7665). Thank you. Good product, it cleared up the cloudy water along with the liquid shock I used. Once a week treatment has worked out very well. Thanks!
