Hi, Thank you for your inquiry. Please contact Poolmaster Customer Service Dept directly for assistance, weekdays, 8-4 Pacific Time at 800-854-1492
I bought it for my kids and they love it. Good quality
I bought the solar heater and it came with the hoses needed to connect it to our intex pool.
We have an 18’ round above ground and have 2 of these heaters. Our yard and pool is extremely sunny and with a diverter (absolutely needed to slow down how fast the water travels through heaters) our pool is always in upper 80’s. If you don’t put the solar cover on during cooler nights you will lose anything you gained. With that said, your heaters MUST be in a very very sunny location as much of the day as possible or it’s pointless. They are solar heaters so they need to get super super hot in order to warm the water any. There is no power to these, it’s almost like when you leave some water in the hose and turn it back later on in the day and water comes out scorching hot...same concept here.
This heater would be a great fit for your pool! Heater efficiency is determined by how many heaters are used simultaneously. In your case, 2 heaters would be an optimal fit, taking approximately 2 days to affect a 5 degree Fahrenheit change, opposed to 4-1/2 days with only one.
The amount of heaters needed will vary by preference. Adding more heaters will decrease the amount of time required to affect a change in your pool's temperature. Two heaters would be our recommended minimum, though you will find more efficiency with three or four. Hi Tj. You will most likely need several of these heaters to affect a noticeable change in a pool that large. I would recommend 3 units for your pool, but feel free to look at our performace chart to determine what works best for you. Hi Rebecca. This heater comes in one size - the effectivness depends on factors such as quantity installed, positioning, weather, and water surface exposure. For your size pool, it would be recommended to use at least two heaters, though three would be preferable. Be sure to use a pool cover during non-daylight hours to retain heat. Connection kits are available through Poolmaster, the manufacturer.
