Questions & Answers

how much does it weight

how much does it weight
Asked by: gerard
Hi Gerard; Although I do not see any weight on the spec's I am going to believe it is under 3 lb's. The unit is not heavy but solid enough so it is not wildly moving around. Good feel even for a big guy like myself. I was able to go most of the day without feeling like holding this nailer took a lot out of me even though it is roofing and I am not a professional roofer by any means. Recommend this unit, no issues once I got used to it. Hope this helps.

Will this gun shoot siding nails up to 1.75 also
Asked by: Jeff
Hi Jeff; I am assuming you are referring to vinyl siding. Although you can use roofing nails for vinyl siding I would not use a roofing nailer. The roofing nailer will sink the nail tight which is what you want for roof shingles while vinyl siding you want the nail lose to allow movement of the siding as it expands and contracts. Great nailer but I believe it has a limited usage. Hope that helps.

two questions: 1. can you safely drive a zinc plated steel roofing nail 1 1/4" with this gun to fasten metal eave drip? 2. will this gun safely drive a stainless steel roofing nail 1 1/4" through metal eave drip? New guy- no nail gun experience- answer was not found online or in owner's manual. Thanks, jim
Asked by: jimmy
Hi Jimmy...... Yes to both questions as long as the nail is a 15 degree coil. Metal drip edge in not a problem at all, they are mainly thin aluminum. Highly recommend this nail gun, made my job easier for sure. Hope that helps...

I purchased this for a roof job on a shed I am building for my daughter and son-in-law, I have always hand nailed roofing but decided maybe I would try this. Like all products there are positive and negatives. Positives - fairly light, grip is comfortable, easy to see how many nails are left, shoots well, no misfires, fairly rugged, easy depth adjustment, and a great price point. This made the job go much quicker than hand nailing and more positive seating of the nails. Negatives - Run out of nails and it keeps going just makes a divot - no auto stop when empty, loading is a bit awkward until you get the hang of it, no single shot option - if you hold the gun to the material and squeeze the trigger the bounce you will cause a double shot so hold the trigger and tap the material is the best way with this unit. Overall I really like it, I had no issues and would recommend it for any handyman (person). For the price you will pay to rent a unit for 3 or so days you can buy this and have it for the next job or rent it to a neighbor. Like any other tool, you need to be careful and know what you are doing at all times, be safe. Highly recommend..... Have fun

The adjustments are easy to do, especially the dial to adjust nailing depth. I don't know if it's the best nail gun, but it worked well for my project.
