Strong, Straight and extremely easy to use
I've been building fences for years and this was the first time that I decided to use metal posts. These posts are very easy to install and the line of holes on each wing makes for easy installation of rails. Once the rails are installed you have a flush surface that you can run boards across to completely hide the posts. Pros: Solid/easy to install/sits flush with rails Cons: The only con is they are expensive. Also - They make these posts in 7 1/2', 8' and 10' lengths but HD only carries 7.5'?

I have use this metal post for new fencing and to repair fencing with posts that have rotted at the bottom. I was able to keep the existing post and concrete base in place, and simply add this metal post midspan in concrete between the old rotted posts. Saved so much time and effort -well worth the investment. I live in a windy area with a high water table - most pressure treated posts don't last more than 10 to 12 years, so this is a long-term solution.

These posts worked great, very sturdy and heavy duty. The marks on the post help to keep everything level and the pre drilled holes definitely helped and avoided the need for brackets.
