Hello, Vicl - We recommend removing the pressure washer from the hose and ensuring that it is stored inside. The water inlet part that connects to the garden hose is not supposed to come off the unit, so you would have the whole pressure washer connected. Also, make sure to use pump protector on your unit to protect the pump in cold weather. If you need further support, then feel free to ask another question. Hi, JohnBoy. Thank you for your interest in the PowerCare Garden Hose Quick-Connect Kit. I'm sorry, if you cannot find the item you need on homedepot.com then it is possible that the item is no longer being sold. Thank you for asking. - Jewel
Bought about 15 or twenty of these awhile back I have a soft washing and pressure washing business the crews love them can connect hoses and disconnect them quickly never had problems with them .
It's not that difficult. You put a male end on the hose bib (that's the spigot on your house), and a female end on the hose itself and then pretend you want to make little baby hoses. In other words ... connect them together.
Frustrated, thank you for your interest in the PowerCare Garden Hose Quick-Connect Kit. Yes you will connect one end at the house. Thank you for asking, I hope this helps! - Vini
With the hose removed and the fitting unhooked from the tank, you should be able to hold this in your hand and blow into it (with your mouth) and air should pass freely through it. If not, look for anything that might be obstructing it. If you don't find anything obstructing it and you still can't blow air through it, ask someone at a Home Depot store you look at it. I've used dozens of these and there really is no trick to them. That's probably not what you wanted to hear but that's the only logical solution at this point.
Yes it should work
thank you for your interest in the PowerCare Garden Hose Quick-Connect Kit. This should have no issues. If it is not working we suggest exchanging it at the store. Thank you for asking, I hope this helps! - Vini
It will work on a pressure washer, that's what I use on my machines.
I used the exact setup you mentioned for a 1.2 GPM electric pressure washer and had no issues. Based on the self shut off design, I imagine at high flow rates (gas pressure washer?) it may have a larger restriction effect. What you can do is connect the male end to the quick disconnect without any garden hose accessory on the other end. Open the faucet 100% and see how much water you can add to a bucket in one minute to get gallons per minute. This would be your best case scenario (the maximum that can flow though your hose and quick disconnect without additional component restrictions).
ADDING THIS QUICK-CONNECT FITTING DOES NOT ALTER YOUR PRESSURE IN ANY WAY.
Kuivato, thank you for your interest in the PowerCare Garden Hose Quick-Connect Kit. Yes you can connect a garden hose to a pressure washer with this connector. Thank you for asking, Hope this helps! - Vini
I wondered the exact same thing and couldn't get an answer. So, I just tried it and I did not notice any difference whatsoever. This device is so much better than the old way of connecting it that I wish that pressure washers just came that way from the factory. Go for it!
JLo, Thank you for your interest in the PowerCare Garden Hose Quick-Connect Kit. This connector will not create less water flow. If the connections work the water flow should remain the same. Thank you for asking. - Vini
