The Prime-Line U 9515 Door Knob Hole Cover maintains security and privacy on entry doors where the knob latch or deadbolt hardware is no longer being used. This door handle cover plate has a 2-5/8 inch outside diameter and fits on doors up to 1-3/4 inch thick. This deadbolt lock cover can cover holes from 1/2 inch in diameter up to 2-1/8 inch. Keep doors looking great and cover up any holes that may allow for unwanted entry or invasion or privacy with the hole cover up plate. With only two fasteners to install, installation is quick and easy and the prime-line door hole cover plate can conceal most bores and holes. Yes, it is paintable. I scuffed it up with sand paper, primed it, and painted it to match the door. The original surface is pretty slick and I was afraid latex paint would not stick without the sanding and priming.
