About This Product
This Prime-Line E 2164 Mortise Lock is constructed with a corrosion-resistant steel housing and steel faceplate. The mortise lock set features a round-end face plate that serves as an adjustment feature for the hook's distance of projection. The keyway of the replacement mortise lock rests at a 45 degree position when the hook is fully extended in the locked position. The mounting holes of the sliding door latch are spaced apart at 4-5/8 inch on center. The patio door latch fits on W and F manufactured handles. Which mortise latch is compatible with the C-1225 door handle?
Didn't work for my application because the holes didn't line up so I had to return it.

Yes, the problem is the faceplate, which is stamped out of metal where the hole is for the mortise lock unit, thus causing the faceplate to be a bit wider or twisted a bit outward. I had to grind it down a little, but it was still a tight fit. So if you can reduce the width of the faceplate by maybe 1/32 of an inch, it probably would install easier. I had to take the philips screwdriver, insert it into the screw hole of the template a bit, and use it to help wedge start it into the door a bit. This was the only way I could get it into the white plastic door frame.
