1 in. x 4 in. x 8 ft. Radiata Pine Finger Joint Primed Board

Sand down the board and you will see that it’s scraps glued together then they covered it with primer and increased the price by about 50% compared to the premium pine that they no longer sell. The reason I sanded the boards was because I realized after I bought and cut the wood that I can’t glue primed boards. So I have to spend more time prepping a board that went from $8 to $13 and is not a solid piece of wood.

I went off the recommendation of my contractor as he says he uses this wood all the time. I even went to go look at this wood in a house he is working on and it was flat and smooth, which is why I approved it. What was delivered to me is completely awful. It was installed while I was not home to see it and now it all has to be removed and scrapped. Very disappointed because it is a waste of time, materials, and a lot of money.

Obviously, the primed 1x4x8 is versatile; in the past two years we have used this product for a plethora of home decor items from extending dining room crown moulding to our version of ship lap in the bathroom. More recently, we are using it as part of the framework for our take on judges paneling. It's easy to drill into, nail gun, or (if you're my wife and blatantly unwilling to use power tools) fairly easy to screw into with an actual screw driver. Our favorite part of This 1×4×8 is the fact that it's primed!! Makes everything so much easier. Also: we have used multiple avenues to acquire this product. It has been shipped to home, pre-shopped at the store (where you pick it up at the front desk), and we've gone in to home depot and picked it out ourselves. We like the pre-shopping experience, because we can not only plan ahead to shorten the shopping time but can pick up any additional items we have forgotten along the way.

A good straight board with no flaws, preprimed and just what I needed for my project.

The wood was very warped and the primer was a sloppy mess. Way too much work needed to be done to fix the chunky/drips from the bad prime job and some of the wood was too warped to even use.

Ordered 54, all in great condition.
