I like this product because it's smooth, straight, and primed. I used it to trim around a new gar...
I like this product because it's smooth, straight, and primed. I used it to trim around a new garage door. Since it's being used outdoors, I used 1 1/2" galvanized finish nails. I haven't painted the top coat yet as shown in the photo.

the board was slightly cupped/warped... not better than ANY std board that I could have picked out... just painted white... not worth the premium charged

Prep the boards after purchase
My HD had a bad batch where the paint stuck to the board below and caused a lot of raised paint when separated. I needed to keep my facia project going so I picked the best side and scraped, filled and sanded. Took about 3 hours for 18 boards 12 ft. Then I applied a primer. I think this comes from the Phillipines. Perhaps it gets wet during transport. It’s a pity more care isn’t taken. But I like the light weight and dimensional stability. So beware. I wouldn’t use this for interior trim
