A: Distance from a 10" pot to the top is roughly 30". If you have tall ceilings, you can do what I do---add a few inches of inexpensive chain at the top. I always keep some on hand because pots rarely hang at the height I want. You can either use an "S" hook at the bottom of the chain to attach the ring on the hanger, or just pry one link open with a couple pair of pliers and use it as the hook.

A: I estimate 25 inches to the ring with a 10” pot. The reason I say estimate is that I have a 7” pot and the distance to the ring is 28”.

A: They probably won't look good with anything more than 15" in diameter, which will also shorten the length to the top.
