Customer Reviews

10 in. Metal Round Landscape Anchoring Spikes (45 Per Pack) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have for home owners! I have used Dimex 10 in. steel anchoring spikes for several projects. This project was to install edging around my Hosta bed. I could of used plastic but for roots and rocks, the steel spikes went in were I wanted them. My last project was a small paver patio which really need to be stronger so I used the steel. Dimex spikes are great for many other general landscape applications as well. I used the suggested use rate for paver edging installation one spike every 1.5 ft. of edging. The suggested use rate for a standard landscape edging installation is one spike per every 2 ft. to 3 ft. of edging. I use a little more to reinforce rounded edges. Forty five 10 in. metal round spikes included per pack is a good deal. Suitable for use with most soil types. I have heavy clay soil at my house. I used a five pound sledge hammer for both projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great multi-use spikes! A few years ago, I put up this landscape edging and while at first it held in place via the tiny stakes, they did not help to hold everything up over the years. So, I decided to rebuild my previous contraption using these landscaping stakes. I know that this isn't their "intended" use, but I like to stretch the limits. Now, these stakes are as heavy duty as they get! With only a few stakes and some screws to the back of each stake, the edging was successfully placed firmly perpendicular to the ground. I'm not sure if these come in any sort of protective coating; all I know is that it would take FOREVER to rust through these. I did notice some surface rust built up almost immediately overnight however. These are awesome for the price too, at 75 cents a pop (w/tax).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used these on landscape edging in place of the 8"... Used these on landscape edging in place of the 8" plastic version sold with the edging. No comparison, these spikes will not crack, bend or change direction when hammering into rocky ground. Plastic spikes, no matter how deep you place them, will rise out of your edging as soon as the ground freezes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Spikes!! I needed strong landscaping spikes to install landscape edging on a gravel/rock driveway and luckily saw these wonderful steel spikes. The average plastic spike just wouldn't work, they break! These spikes are heavy duty steel and cut through the gravel and rock like it was butter. Almost no effort to drive them into the ground. They are extremely durable, sturdy, and well made with a strong point and head. These spikes can be used for other tasks too, i.e., connecting landscape timbers, tent stakes/spikes, anchoring tarps, or any task that requires a super sized nail or stake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nailed it! Well, what can you say about Landscape spikes, other than that they work? First these spikes are ten inches long and will not rust. 2nd these nails are will not vibrate themselves out of the ground and in high traffic areas can stand up to being bumped into by lawn mowers and snowblowers. For the end track if you stick some pressure treated lumber about nine inches under the dirt you can ensure that the track will be mounted nice and secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great spikes I got these spikes/nails to anchor lawn umbrella and shade cover while camping. They work great. There is enough of them that you beat them to death and still have a couple of extras available if you mess one up. Have not had this problem yet. These nails are over a 1/4 inch thick. So unless you using on lawnscaping logs, it is going to be very hard to mess them up.. How ever for lawn timbers they will work great Will need a sledge hammer to use on wood. For regular ground small hammer will work find.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to secure landscape timbers I drilled holes in my landscape timbers and secured them with these spikes. Very sturdy. I would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should hold down just about anything These are solid 10 inch what I would call bridge deck spikes. Huge nails is actually what they are and they should hold down just about anything in the landscaping arena from ties and timbers to edging and ornamentals. They work out to be around .57 cents each and will be a good thing to tidy up edging and such for spring or to hold together a few new landscape timber planters.
