Happy with Edging project kit
We have widened our front path with brick pavers. It had a natural curve to it. The edging went in without any issue. It was easy to cut and install. I did wish it came with more spikes. It was enough but we had to test out different spike location to make sure it held at our curve path. Overall, we are happy with it. It seemed that it's durable and would last.

Used this product for a 70 sq ft brick patio. Pros: - sturdy material that will hold your pavers in place (only tested with foottraffic) - easy to handle and allows for smooth curves while remaining sturdy - pins are strong enough to penetrate gravel base Cons: - can't attach parts to each other for seamless transition - when your planning to make some curves, buy more spikes - only comes in one edge height of 1.8inch tall which works with bricks but might be too tall for other thinner pavers Product was easy to use, snipping the spines was easy and allowed for smooth curves without nicking. Nylon spikes were better than expected and I had no trouble securing the product with these spikes on a gravel base for my patio. You will need more spikes when using curves, I'd recommend one spike per ft. in curves and 1 per 2ft on straight edges which is about 30% more than the product recommendations.

Easy to install and quality seemed good. It looks like it'll hold up for years. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I used all but 2 stakes and had two full rails left. I didn't need the last two rails, but if I had I would have not had enough stakes. I thought I was putting in less stakes than was recommended, but perhaps not. I put a stake about every 3-4 feet.

What a great product for a tough DIY job! This paver edging kit was just what the doctor ordered for our 150 square-foot brick and stone walkway and patio project. The kit enabled us to lay out the perfect map for both the 17-foot-long walkway and the adjacent 108 square-foot patio which will feature fire pit and complementary patio furniture. The allowed us to lay out a nice stone and brick pattern easily with very little waste. It took my wife and I -- two 70-somethings -- a total of 6 days to complete the job. We can safely says that without the paver kit we might not have tackled the job.

I have used this product in multiple stone and paver projects over the past 10 years. This brand is far superior to the local competitor's brand, which I have also used. I should note that I use a 28 p nail instead of the provided plastic spikes. I use a nail every other hole. This may be a bit of overkill but I have not had a problem with significant settling or dropped edges. The paver edge cuts easily by hand using a mitre saw. I use this product on top of weed barrier cloth, which I install on top of at least 6" compacted crusher run / paver base. The weed barrier cloth keeps the stone dust from infiltrating the crusher run. The 28 p nails are easier to hammer through the crushed stone base than the plastic spikes. Once installed and the top edge of the paver edge is at the grade I want, I fill the area with 1 1/2" of stone dust and use the top edge of the paver edge as my screed guide. The paver edge holds and contains the stone dust very well. Just make sure you install with the nailer edge on the outside so it can be adjusted if need be. Please note that the stone dusts compacts about 1/4 - 3/8 " when the paver is set in place with a rubber mallet.

Just completed a big brick pathway project, using Holland pavers and Proflex edging. This was 60 feet total of walkways in two sections, 24 and 32 inches wide, digging down 8 inches, packing in 3/4 minus x 4 inches, then an inch or two of sand, then bricks, using the edging. We back filled the edging with soil and sanded the top, letting rain wash it into the joints and will add more sand when it stops raining! The edging works well, but directions are a little vague. It worked best to use stakes and string (or laser system, whatever you have) to create straight lines, and install one side of the edging first, not both sides (we are DIYers not pros). We also bought the 10 inch metal stakes and used those every 18 inches or so, with the plastic stakes in kit in between. I did not think the plastic stakes are long/strong enough to hold edging over time. Then we laid the brick, using rubber mallet to tap bricks against each other, and rechecking level (lengthwise and crosswise) often, also gently tapping bricks to level if necessary. Bricks also cut well with Ryobi angle grinder with diamond blade. Joints are very small, so use mason sand, not paver sand, to sand from the top--or you will have to beg the sand to fall in the joints. This project was completed by two people in a couple weeks, working half days several days per week.

I used this product for a different purpose than securing pavers. I just had new sod installed around my round paver walkway and the problem I always have is that the grass always grows over them over time and buries them. I used this product to contain pea pebbles around the pavers. I installed the edging and then put strong weed fabric between, securing it with long staples. Then I put the pavers back and put the pebbles down. It was labor intensive but worth it!!

Highly recommend this product for doing paver block patios! Next we will be tearing up some old ones along the edges and inserting this edging to stabilize them better. We purchased this edging about 2 weeks ago for 6 concrete patios we needed to tear out and replace. We have been busy installing it for the past week. It is very sturdy, easy to cut, the nail tabs section is great as you can line it up and drive the plastic nail to hold it where you want it. One one side we put the tabs toward the bricks and then on the other we put the tabs facing out. We used the plastic nails due to the soil we have here eats up metal, termites eat wood, sun eats the plastic. With the edging and nails being under the dirt when we are completely finished everything should hold up well

      Worked well - great value
This product exceeded my expectations. I used two of these kits to install a 50 foot curved walkway in my front yard. I purchased the pavers from a dedicated hardscape yard. The paver seller pushed their edge system as superior to what I could get at a big box store - there edge system was twice as expensive however. I went with this PROFLEX system and it proved quite adequate. I was skeptical of the plastic nails provided with the kit and bought steel spikes in the hardware department to suplement. Turns out the plastic spikes performed better (harder to pull out) than the steel spikes. If I was to do it over again, I would not buy additional steel spikes. For a curved walkway, I might buy additional plastic spikes than are provided in the kit to get the edge to conform to the pavers.

      Proflex 48ft
The product worked find, what it lacked was an explanation (no instructions included) of how to make a smooth curve. The only other complaint is that it is not sold in the store and must be shipped in and then picked up at the store. This whole thing delayed my project for 8 days. Other then that I was pleased with the results

      not hard....and not easy
It was easy to work with - however the corners don't snap together at all...making a square patio block was a bit complicated...and driving the stakes into the ground to keep the panels in place.

      Great product.
This is exactly what I needed. The edging was easily installed. I did, however, supplement the spikes provided with 12 inch metal spikes at the suggestion of the person who installed the edging for me to give the edging a little more stability.

      Works well
It does the job but when trimming it to size, the material is so brittle that one can not cut it straight. I needed to use a saw.

      Highly recommend
I have used this product to build a small patio around a fire pit and I am very happy with the results. When installing patio block correctly, you need to lay an inch or two of paver gravel, then another inch or two of paver sand, to provide a nice flat and permanent base for the paver itself. This kit will keep that material where it belongs...under the paver. These can be cut using a saw, which allows for some custom installations. It also comes with enough spikes to complete installation.

      Very good buy
I looked at buying exactly what i needed at the store opposed to this package online, this package gives you much more for your dollar. Depending on your project size it may be cheaper to buy this and have extra. Very easy to cut i used a reciprocating saw with a metal blade and cut it very easily. The product holds bricks in nicely. You can use it with nails on outside of project wall or on the inside of your project. I went on the inside :nails right under the brick ( it said it is ok to do so on there pdf for installation.) after tamping the bricks in place they leveled perfectly. I bought some metal spikes for the paving edge to go along with the plastic ones, as i was skeptical of the plastic ones. After nailing down i was very confident with the supplied plastic nails. i still used my extra 20 metal spikes too. i had a lot of curves with steep grade. The paver edge is holding all the bricks as well as the leveling sand in place very well. Very happy with this product

Used as edging for tiled patio
We purchased the edging project kit to create a containing-border for a new tiled patio we installed in our backyard. The edging is very easy to work with - you can snip it or saw it with little effort to get the lengths you need. The material is on the softer side, but has sufficient strength to hold tiles and other pavers in place. If you do not drive in the plastic stakes in the correct order, you might end up with a slight bow in the edging. It is perhaps best to drive the center stake in first and then work toward the ends. We are satisfied with the product, even though the price seems to be a bit high for the plastic edging, and even more for the stakes.

      This product is awesome
Anyone can use this product. It is easy to cut, very strong and makes your job look like a pro. I contructed a very long windy path lined with bricks. I used a lot of this edging. The edging keeps the bricks in place. I can roll my wheel barrel over the pavers without them moving.
