Product Details

ProFlex Scalloped No-Dig Landscape Edging gives your planting beds a charming, professionally finished decorative look. It is flexible enough to create tight circles around trees, and the patented No-Dig L-shaped design eliminates damage from digging into tree and plant roots. Use No-Dig Edging with weed fabric for an extra layer of weed protection. The spikes easily pierce through weed fabric and help secure the barrier. The 2 in. high edging is strong enough to retain bedding materials including pine needles, lava stone, river rock, cedar, plastic, wood mulch, and more. The scalloped decorative edge provides a lovely finish to any gardening or landscaping project. Designed for quick and easy installation, no digging is required. Simply clear the area of debris and align the edging to the shape of the bed. Then use a mallet to pound the anchoring spikes (included) into the ground. Not every project is the same, so we made sure ProFlex No-Dig Edging is easy to handle and cut to the length you need. We recommend cutting between scallops, if possible. Kit includes (1) 100 ft. coil of landscape edging, (30) 8 in. spiral spikes, and (5) connectors to accommodate a 100 lin. ft. installation.

        A:  Hi Lisa, when trimming the grass around your plastic edging, we recommend only using a string trimmer. When used properly, the plastic edging can withstand a string trimmer for many years. We do not, however, recommend using a trimmer with a metal blade. Metal blades will cut the edging.             A:  It might depend on the ground or how much the edging sinks after pounding in the stakes. Mine measure about 2 and 1/4 above ground.

              A:  You can but the base needs to be very flat because these tend to curl but it does work.

              A:  We do not recommend this product as a paver restraint. It is not designed to support he weight of frequent traffic.

                A:  I don’t see why not! I used it to line my walkway which has stepping stones and gravel and it holds everything together beautifully. Good luck with your project!

                Straight out of the box , it's easy to un-roll and install, level the area somewhat and limit the uneveness and this goes in easy - I used a hack saw to cut and no problem . The stakes are long enough and it gave the edging enough rigidity that it stays in place and no laying it flat to let the sun warm it up to make it pliable. Exactly as advertised, no digging, unroll it, hammer in the stakes. I have a walkway and i segregated the brown mulch, from the red lava rock, from the red mulch. Great, no more mixing between the bunch.

                  For me, this was a great purchase. I didn't install it myself but appeared to be pretty easy. Extra stakes were needed, as others stated. I accidentally stepped on it a couple of times but no harm. I couldn't spend hundreds of dollars on edging and this looks just fine.
