Product Overview
The PVC Check Valve permits water to flow in one direction within a line with the ProLine SERIES 1 in. Solvent x Solvent PVC Check Valve. It acts as a backflow prevention device to prevent water from backing up into a municipal, residential or commercial water supply. This valve is built using a steel spring-loaded poppet to keep the valve shut until the needed pressure is reached to open the valve.

The remaining stock at the Home Depot in Magnolia was defective. The pvc portion was missing fro...
The remaining stock at the Home Depot in Magnolia was defective. The pvc portion was missing from inside the check valve plunger. I ended up going to Lowe’s to buy another. Beware when purchasing - check the inside of the valve to ensure the metal portion is not visible.

this one is chip, but too weak.
I failed. after I opened main valve(sprinkler), this valve was broken.
It worked only 30 minutes.
Buy metal valve, not this one.

fails catastrophically.
Installed it end of summer last year to prevent back-flow on my sprinkler system. Today, middle of spring, cracked open at the seam. Hard to tell how long this thing has been leaking before completely bursting open. The cost of the valve is negligible compared to the cost of the water that leaked out of the failed valve.

The check valve I bought works great..it was easy to...
The check valve I bought works great..it was easy to install..took care of the issue I had when my water pump would pressurize my water line and would not automatically shut off because of back pressure in the line..
