Recliner is 70 inches fully reclined, 42 inches from the back of the seat to the footrest, 28 inches from the seat to the top of the recliner.it is not a recliner lock position. when you push back and then come to sitting position it comes back up with you.
No but you can manually stop it in most any position. Seat is extra firm.

We just got our chair. When you sit in it the chair creaks. Is this normal? All screws are tight and the wood pieces look ok.
