What is the size of the dowel screw?
3/8 inch
It is about 3/8” thick and extends about 2 inches below plane of finial. They can be removed easily and height can be adjusted. The galvanization is not that great, however. Some already have corrosion out of the box.
The screw is 5/16" in diameter and 3” long.
