I needed railing spindles for a small porch I was repairing. I didn't want to use 2x2 lumber and I spotted these. I used the supplied mounting studs on the bottom rail, and drilled 27/32" holes in the top. Worked perfectly ! Also, the mounting studs are adjustable for straight or up to a 45 degree angle for stair railings. Those are next.

IMPORTANT: Hardware changed-was good, now BAD
The baluster is fine, and the original mounting hardware was perfect, but the new ones are completely unusable. I ordered 18 boxes of 15; 14 have the correct mounts, but 4 have the wrong. According to the dates on the boxes, the 4 with the wrong hardware are newer. They cannot be used with the older because they are 5/8" longer than the old ones, plus they aren't even straight. Pics show the new vs. the old straight vs. the old angled (for stairs). Stair mounts aren't included anymore, either.

Great value, easy DIY project
Couldn’t be happier with these balusters! For about $120 I was able to build railing in a couple hours for our loft. I had recieved quotes for $2000 for custom steel railing with a 1-2 week lead time. After building an entire home myself, these balusters are one of the best values I’ve found.

Sharp looking deck rail balusters that install very easily, even on angled stairways.
I want to mention up front that it is easiest if you can use the full 26" length without cutting. Although you can cut these to size, it just makes the job more difficult. Try to find an application to install them to length.
Installing is easy. The instructions give good guidance on setting a square against both rails clamped together to mark the attachment points. This makes for good plumb balusters. The kit comes with both square and angled holders. The angled holders are made for railings from 30 to 35 degrees. My railing was 28.5 degrees. It worked, but just barely. I think the 30 to 35 recommendation is good.
These look super sharp and everyone comments positively on them. They think I cut my own tube and drilled holes to hold them. I have to point out the hardware to show how easy it was.
