The hanger pin goes into the downrod and has a locking pin to hold the downrod in place. .Progress Lighting fans with downrods have a hole to add the additional downrod needed for higher ceilings.12" downrod = P2603-XX18" downrod = P2604-XX24" downrod = P2605-XX36" downrod = P2606-XX48" downrod = P2607-XX60" downrod = P2608-XX72" downrod = P2609-XXTo match the finish to your Progress Ceiling Fan, please use the finish code name and number to the right of the product number. EX: -09 Brushed Nickel will go with the -09 Brushed nickel ceiling fans.
