Can this lamp be used with a dimmer switch?

Can this fixture hang from a slanted beam ceiling. Does it pivot at the base to allow that.
No, I don't think so. Even though I didn't personally install my lights, they do NOT pivot at the base.
This fixture is supplied with 6 chain links that attach to the top of the stem and connect the fixture to the ceiling canopy. Using this suspension method allows the fixture to hang straight from a slanted ceiling (or beam in your case). Thanks.
Is a CFL bulb compatible with this fixture?
This fixture has a medium base socket and is electrically rated for 100-watt incandescent bulb. You may be able to find a compatible CFL, but be sure to check the bulb packaging. Since this fixture is completely enclosed, many CFL's have a restriction against use in that type of fixture.
What is the minimum height/ length from ceiling to bottom of shade?
If installed with no stems, then the minimum height is 10-3/8".
Howdy, I am looking for a fixture that can hold a globe that the part of the globe that connects to the fixture is 4 inches in diameter. I can't seem to find a measurement that describes what I'm looking for. The part that has the screws that secure the globe, how wide is that? Thanks!
The diameter of the globe where it attaches is 3 1/2 inches in diameter.
This fixture will accept a glass fitter with a 4" diameter neck. The glass that is supplied has a 3-5/8" neck (at its widest point).
The metal collar of the globe is 4 inches in diameter. The widest section of the globe is 8 inches.
