Small Dark Sky Night Saver Black Accessory Shield

My front porch light sines every direction so I wanted this to help my home be more dark-sky friendly. Hoping someday to see the milky way in my city! This product was easy to use, even though it is intended for use with other Progress Lighting lamps, I used it with my the front porch lamp that came with my house. Product is sturdy. I used some sandpaper and JB-Weld to bond it to the inside of my porch light enclosure. There is nothing else available that I can find like this product.

It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but I made it work for my situation. I needed something with an angle cut, so I had to cut it down to get the light to cast onto the wall the way I wanted. It’s decent quality and should work for you if it’s what you need.

I have an outside, under the stars, light fixture that was throwing light in nearly 360 degrees. Because I live in a city that is very conscious light pollution, I was looking for a solution without changing the fixture. This shield solved the problem perfectly, cannot be seen from the outside of the fixture, and is a very inexpensive solution. Clever idea!!
