Simply Store 6-Piece Round Glass Storage Set with Red Lids

These are the nicest set of glass storage bowls we have. We use them for everything. They are well made, heavy-duty. The lids seal tightly and don’t leak. The quality of the glass is unbeatable as I have already dropped one and it didn’t break and the lid stayed on. I was surprised. I would recommend anyone getting a set of these. The 2 extra lids are nice too

Fantastic storage containers - and they even come with extra lids! I love these Pyrex glass storage containers. They're oven safe and freezer safe. The small ones are great for storing cooked rice in the freezer, then reheating in the microwave. The medium sizes are about perfect for lunches or leftover pasta. I also like to put salsa or queso in them. They are the perfect size for dipping chips, and then I can pop a lid on them and put them in the fridge if I don't finish it up. The largest container is likely the most practical size for reheating in the oven. I stored some leftover spaghetti in that one, and popped it in the oven to reheat. I imagine it would be fantastic for a small casserole or scalloped potatoes too. The fact that it comes with extra lids is fantastic. I've had Pyrex storage in the past (as well as other brands) and the plastic lids always seem to break sooner than the glass, in fact I think I've never broken a glass Pyrex before. But the lids can crack over time with daily use and especially in the freezer. So thoughtful to include additional lids (and - just my luck - these extra lids fit a couple 'orphan' glass containers I had from a few years ago). The colored lids are refreshing, too. Red is a common color for Pyrex and other brands... I like seeing the teal, blue and white in this set. Makes the product a bit more exciting!

The Pyrex 16-piece Simply Store glass storage set is the perfect addition to our left-over food storage needs. My cook has been slowly replacing plastic containers with glass because she tells me you don’t want to reheat in plastic. Okay. There are many other reasons to like this product: 1) They take up minimal space in the cupboard because they nest nicely, 2) Food can be reheated in the same container it was stored in, 3) Both microwave and oven safe, 4) They are freezer safe, 5) Relatively easy clean-up and “top rack” dishwasher safe, 6) Union-made in the USA, 7) Affordable 8) Two-year limited warranty, and, more importantly, 9) My wife (she is also the cook) likes them! What’s in the box: seven glass storage containers (assorted sizes from 7-cup to 1-cup) with lids, plus two extra lids. It might be noted that the lids are only to be used for storage and microwave reheating, and, extreme temperature changes (e.g. freezer to preheated oven) should be avoided.

This is a great set. I've been trying to phase plastic storage containers out of our home. I'm not necessarily hugely concerned about the health, but it does seem better to reheat in glass than plastic. Primarily I think the plastic can get gross and retain smells. However, these glass containers wear well and do not retain and odor or flavor from the previous contents. There's a nice assortment of sizes--I can store leftovers from a big dinner or just a little bit of leftover dressing without a problem. They are obviously glass and therefore breakable but the quality is good--I've sent them in my kids lunchboxes with leftover food like chili without any issues with breakage or leaking.

I have been using Pyrex dishes for years and years and these dishes are a very nice set with the Pyrex quality as expected. This set includes 2 sets of 1 cup, 2 cup, 4 cup and 7 cup Pyrex glass dishes and red push on lids for all 8 dishes. Each set nests inside the largest 7 cup dish making it easier to store in the cupboard when not in use. These dishes can go from the refrigerator to the freezer to the microwave or oven and then into the dishwasher for easy cleanup. Great set for any cook.

Time and time again, you can't go wrong with Pyrex. Pyrex bowls are always top quality glass and the lids fit better than any other name brand glass bowl. In the picture I demonstrate just how sealed with a bowl of ripe olives in water turned upside-down. These glass bowls are microwave safe and go from the freezer to the oven (without the plastic lid) without an issue. Could not be more pleased.

This is a very nice set of bowls. They can be used for cooking (microwave or oven) or storage, and are nice looking enough to be used for serving as well. They are also dishwasher safe. I like that the set has two of each size. The glass is good and strong, but not too heavy. Note that the lids cannot be used in the microwave or oven and must go on the top rack in the dishwasher (away from the heating element). The lids are a little on the thinner side and somewhat flexible. As long as you follow the listed precautions they maintain their shape and do not warp. The lids seal the bowls well enough, but are not the strongest lids/seals I've seen and the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. I like this set very much and definitely recommend them.

These really are great bowls! They're made of the same glass that Pyrex is known for so you know they will last. The lids seal well for as basicas the appear and are made of good quality. For the price, they are comparable to plastic bowls, but a much better quality that won't stain when you use them in the microwave. And since they are dishwasher safe and clear glass they are a great replacement for all of the plastic discolored leftover containers! They are also well packaged in their box so no worries shipping them to home.
