Yes, most scissors will work just fine. The first one was challenging but, I used the "bubble" cover I was using as a pattern. Then, when I replaced the first one I used it as a pattern and made small adjustments with the second purchase replacement and copied it several times since. Every 9 or 12 months or more. Randy
Yes, depending on the type and quality of the hard cover. If there is mildew, you may wish to check your methods and frequencyfor cleaning/sanitizing
No I'm sorry it does not.
Sure you could -- but you'd lose a lot of heat -- it's designed to be an extra layer of insulation under the regular folding cover
I use this cover only in combination with a heavy, 4 inch thick, cover normally used for a spa. The large cover protects this foam cover from any wind. I use it to reduce evaporation of the water and the spa and it works very well for that and I believe it also substantially reduces the heating requirements. This foam cover is heavier than a bubble cover but it is not very heavy and I suspect any substantial wind will take it off.
No, both sides are the same. Once you cut it you'll find that only one side will float on the water.
Absolutely! I've used this type for years. Much superior to the "bubble" blanket.
Pretty much ordorless
One complete piece.
The first one we had like this lasted almost 7 years before deteriorating, primarily due to ozone exposure.
