Well made, cuts cleanly and fast!
This diamond impregnated hole saw from Qep works exceptionally well on tiles, ceramics, and glass. The best thing about it is how well the diamonds are bonded to the drilling edge. I have yet to see any evidence that the edge has lost any diamonds. Also, the finish on the hole saw itself is durable. As is the overall construction. There’s really nothing negative I can think to say about it. If I had to pick something, the size marking can be a little hard to read in certain or poor lighting, but it is etched into the saw deeply and won’t wear off. It has a one year warranty to cover defects and is made in the UK. I can’t say whether the claim it is 50% faster is a valid one, or what exactly they are comparing it to with the claim, but I can say it performs like a high quality professional grade hole saw. My profession involves drilling with traditional hole saws, so I cannot say how well it’ll hold up being used every day, but QEP is a solid brand and I’d be surprised if it doesn’t hold up like a professional tool should. Definitely worth giving these a try and, if you are a DIYer doing renovations or upgrades to your bathroom, kitchen, etc, you should definitely check these out. Using diamond tipped hole saws will make your work go faster and easier.

Quick Work
Going through ceramic tile is easy with this beast. The tool makes quick work and the hole is fairly smooth. You can use a file to smooth out any rough edges. I tested it out on a spare piece of tile before using it on the one for our wall. The hole saw easily attaches to a grinder so you can make quick work on your tile job. The bumps on the tip of the hole saw make it jump around a bit so make sure the tile is secured down and use a slow speed on the grinder.

Fast and clean cutting hole saw
This hole saw cuts very fast. Installs easily on the grinder spindle. My grinder spanner wrench opening will just catch the flats on the hole saw to tighten and loosen it. The grinder tool allows for much better control than hole saws for a handheld drill. The hole it cuts is very clean. The instructions are very small print. Simply start cutting by tilting the hole saw against the surface of the tile and then lift up to level for the final precision cut. The best part is that no water is required. There is a lot of fine dust produced so wear PPE

super fast cutting
QEP diamond hole saw is a super product. The cutting surface is diamond encrusted. the threads are for a grinder and there is not a pilot drill in the center, by design. I used a 12mm bolt on my drill press to make a template. Be sure to use some water when cutting, it will not effect the cutting and water will eliminate dust and actually is a carrier to move the tile powder away from the cutting area. I also do a lot of metal cutting, it worked OK with low pressure and cutting fluid. But primary use should be tile, stone, etc. NOTE: wear good loves, N-95 dust mask and eye protection. The use of a grinder will make holes "super fast". Put the template over the spot you want to cut a hole, then secure with duct tape, clamp or such. Place the hole saw in the template and you will get perfect hole just where you want it. 5 plus stars.

2" hole saw for grinders
Manufactured by QEP this is a two inch hole saw for use in a grinder as opposed to a drill. the edges are diamond coated abrasive for fastert cuts, They are said to drill 50% faster because of the edge and use of a grinder rathe than a drill. The hole saw has a limited warranty to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one-year.

The QEP wetDRY 2 in. Diamond Hole Saw for Grinders was awesome. I have a home project that will need some holes in my ceramic tiles. I always like to test things out before I put them to use. This 2" diamond hole saw went to the test bench. I secured a scrap piece of tile to the bench and went to work. I have to say that this hole saw worked without a hitch. The diamonds cut thru the tile extremely fast. And all I used was the weight of my grinder for force. Great tool, keep up the great work.

It seems like what I needed for my project but after purchasing it I returned to the store and no one there could even show me how it should be used. There was no obvious way to connect to a grinder and drill and none of the Home Depot reps had any answers. They suggested I just return it and I still might. Thanks!

For a standard grinder remove the adapter for the blades before connecting the diamond hole saw. Just twist the hole saw in until is tight. No adapter is need it.
