The QEP 4 in. x 9.5 in. Grout Float smoothly spreads grout between floor and wall tile. It features a compactly molded rubber pad that prevents absorption of grout and other materials. The contoured, rigid handle and aluminum back plate make this float durable and easy tool to use.

      A:  I just used it on mosaic for a bathroom backsplash and above the shower. It was fine. It's going to be a matter of the grout consistency and thoroughness of application. I found the slight flex on the ends beneficial for insuring the grout completely filled the grout line spaces.

        A:  Rubber grout is flexible & more smooth, sanded grout is rigid and somewhat rough to the finish

          A:  sanded grout is for the floors. non sanded for walls.

              I decided to upgrade a little and get this float, it was well worth it! It's durable and handle epoxy grout wonderfully. Also it made work easier not having grout stick to the float. Well worth the money!

              While it does not wear as quickly, it also leaves surface grout behind, moreso than standard gum float. I definitely prefer the stiffer edge of the gum float.
