A:Â Yes it will do the work but may let uneven edges. Mark with glass cutters before using this one may helpÂ

Q:Can it cut round shape? Cirlce

Answer This Question
A:Â No, you will need to use a hole cutter diamond tip.

A:Â I guess you could sip off corners until you achieved a somewhat round shape. I did not try that. I used it to snap subway mosaics to a shorter size with a straight edge. I could not always get the cut I wanted. Sometimes the tiles snapped straight and sometimes at an angle. It would take a lot of skill to do what you want. I can't imagine a better tool to try to do the task, though.

Q:Would this be the appropriate tool for making precise cuts to 1 inch mother of pearl mosaic tiles?

Answer This Question
A:Â I don't think you'd get the precision you want. It would snap the tile but probably not exactly into a 90 degree square. You could get lucky, though.

Q:Will it cut 3/8 porcelain tile?

Answer This Question
A:Â No. I do not think it will cut 3/8 inch porcelain tile. I used it for ceramic tile that was probably less than 1/4 inch thick and it worked well. I think you'd need tremendous hand strength to possibly snap yours.

Shattered Tiles
So, I thought it was just me but i had multiple people try this and regardless of the intensity of the scoring line, everytime we tried to snap the line it would shatter the ceramic tiles. Waste of money, waste of tiles.

Easy Glass Cutter
I use this tool for glass cutting. I am a novice, so I like the fact that this tool makes it extremely easy to break the glass along the score line without having to use my hands or tap it with a conventional glass cutter handle. I ground the "anvil" down to get a sharper point. (Please see photo.) - ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN CUTTING GLASS!

Don't trust reviews! This worked better than anything else!
So after reading all the reviews about this tool breaking, I went and purchased a tile nipper for $20, a glass nipper (the one with two rollers) for $13, and a stone sanding block for $8. I began my project of installing glass mosaic tile. Both tools made the glass chip so bad, I had to buff them out and still wasn't perfect. It was time consuming and made a mess. Halfway through, I decided to go back to home depot and get this tool. OMG it's amazing!!!! As long as you score each piece in a straight line with pressure, you'll get near perfect cuts. The tool is cheap so if you're worried about it breaking (which it did not for me), buy two. Here is a photo of what took me literally 1 minute to cut 6 pieces. A MUST FOR MOSAIC GLASS TILES.

Didn’t Work For Me
This didn’t work at all for what I bought it to do. Not sure if I used incorrectly or whatever but I ended up having to buy Tile Nipper which worked way better.
