Answer This Question

A:  To clean your sharpening stone after use, simply use a damp towel to wipe away any metal shavings and excess tile material. After wiping down your sharpening stone, place it back in its box or store it in a dry place.

Q:can this be used on metal.

    Answer This Question

A:  It might work, I have used to smooth my Schlutter trims after I cut them. Metal normally will give you some roughness edges but I use it and it works.

      Answer This Question

A:  I believe the "6" and "8" grit in the description is wrong, it may be 600 and 800 grit though. This will put less of a smooth finish than a diamond pad; this stone is made for basic smoothing of edges so tile looks neat.

Great stone for smoothing rough tile edges, especially mosaic tile. I have used this lightly over the years to smooth tile edges, mostly glass in mosaics. The dark side is rougher than the gray side and it needs a regular cleaning with water and a brush but is a handy tool for 'perfection' in tiling.
