A:Â I believe the "6" and "8" grit in the description is wrong, it may be 600 and 800 grit though. This will put less of a smooth finish than a diamond pad; this stone is made for basic smoothing of edges so tile looks neat.

Great stone for smoothing rough tile edges, especially mosaic tile. I have used this lightly over the years to smooth tile edges, mostly glass in mosaics. The dark side is rougher than the gray side and it needs a regular cleaning with water and a brush but is a handy tool for 'perfection' in tiling.
